After collecting the Farsight item and placing it in Hornet's Bellhome, Silksong players will be able to see their current completion status. However, the requirements to earn the Completion achievement are not directly told to players, leaving some to wonder what counts toward 100% completion in Silksong.
Hollow Knight: Silksong - Interactive Map (Pharloom)
Our interactive map for Pharloom in Hollow Knight: Silksong. All the skills, tools, benches, and more found in the game.
This guide explains what exactly contributes to completion status in Silksong and lists every Tool, ability, upgrade, and other collectible that you must get to 100% Silksong – as well as a brief explanation of what does not count toward completion progress.
What Counts For 100% Completion in Silksong?
Silksong's 100% Completion Requirements Are Different From Hollow Knight's
To earn 112% completion in the original Hollow Knight, players had to get every Mask Shard, Vessel Fragment, Charm, Nail upgrade, equipment, spell, and beat a variety of bosses tied to progression and complete miscellaneous challenges (like the Colosseum of Fools).
In Silksong, Players must still find every stat increase item, every Needle upgrade, every ability (including all Ancestral Arts and Silk Skills), every Crest, and every Tool in the game (not counting upgraded versions of base Tools).
So, the Silksong 100% requirements remain mostly the same as those in Hollow Knight, though there is one notable difference. Technically, you do not have to defeat every boss to 100% Silksong – nor do you have to complete every quest in the game.
What Doesn't Count For 100% Completion in Silksong?
There are a handful of things that are not required to 100% Silksong.
As mentioned above, you are not required to defeat every boss in Silksong, nor do you have to fulfill every Wish. The only bosses and Wish quests that count toward completion are those that are tied to one of the items listed below.
- For example, players must complete the Broodfeast quest to get the Longnail. Broodfeast does not count for a percentage toward completion, but the Longnail does, which makes this quest mandatory.
-
For another example, individual Fleas do not count toward completion in Silksong, but you have to find 25 Fleas as one of the requirements to enter Act 3.
- Additionally, you can only get the Egg of Flealia Tool by finding every Flea location in Silksong, which means technically, to get 100% completion, you do need to find every Flea, even if they don't individually count.
This extends to progression goals, too. You will not earn percentage toward Silksong 100% completion for acquiring each piece of the Threefold Melody, nor does each collected Map provide any progress. But because these are required to progress to Act 3, they are technically required for 100%.
Additionally, upgraded versions of Tools do not count toward completion, like the Claw Mirrors, which is the upgraded form of the Claw Mirror. As long as you have the base version or the upgraded version, it will count for 1%.
