Golden Apple Handle Location And Use

After acquiring the Flashlight in Silent Hill 2 Remake, players can progress further into the story until they reach apartment 108. Inside the apartment will be a cupboard you can interact with to find the Golden Apple Handle. This key item does not have any use at the time so proceed forward until you reach the right side of the second floor and approach apartment 208.

Inside apartment 208, there will be a cupboard identical to the one you saw in 108. You can place the Golden Apple, allowing you to see what is behind the cupboard. Go to the left side of the cupboard and push it, revealing a small passage you can shimmy through.

Solving The Puzzle To Open The Safe

Once you enter the dark room, the path behind you will close, locking you in until you open the Safe in front of you. Behind you is a text that reads out

Right where the rooftops pierce through the night

Left are homebound footprints with no owner in sight

But has he found home, oh, please pray tell

Or a river of memories leading right to his hell

Players interested in puzzles in the Silent Hill franchise will need to find three somewhat hidden numbers inside the room. For the first look to the right of the safe, as you enter the room, to spot a house drawn on the wall with the number "7" next to it. The next number should be "13," drawn on the rooftops of multiple houses on one of the top corners of the room. For the last number, look around the floor for a mattress lying around; next to it should be the number "11".

Interact with the Safe and use the Riddle to enter the numbers in the correct order. Three of the four sentences have either left or right written to give you a clue on how to turn the dial. The first sentence mentions rooftops, so the first number is 13. The second sentence mentions homebound, so the second number is 7. The last sentence mentions a river of memories, so this number is 11. The correct solution for the puzzle is Right 13, Left 7, Right 11.

Do not press "Accept" until you have turned the dial three times in the correct order.

What Is Inside The Safe

Once the safe is open inside, you will find the Coin [Man] and a Steel Key, allowing you to leave this room via the steel door at the end. Acquiring this Coin is necessary to solve the Coin Puzzle in the Reception Room and leave the Wood Side Apartments.
