Nian Suichang is one of the first NPCs that players will meet on their way to the Shu Sanctum in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. After agreeing to help him retrieve the healing elixirs for his brother, it'll start Nian's questline, allowing you to interact with him in other major areas of the game. The next area you'll find Nian Suichang is on your way to Cloudspire. You'll retrieve a Tattered Pack for him, and then have an option to either expose him or remain silent. Here's what to do.
How to Beat Commander Honglan in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
Commander Honglan is the final and toughest boss for the first chapter in Wuchang Fallen Feathers, here's how to beat her.
Where to Find Nian Suichang's Lost Equipment in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
On your way to the Cloudspire, players will reunite with Nian Suichang in Hillswatch in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. He'll be glad to see Wuchang again and tell her about the equipment that he's lost. It's important that you retrieve his equipment as failing to do so will end his questline prematurely.
To find Nian Suichang's equipment, players will have to head up the path and through the tunnel to arrive at the Snowy Passage. There will be a couple of enemies here, mostly farmers that aren't a threat, unless they start throwing rocks at you.
Keep heading up the path until you spot a soldier guarding the Snowy Passage. Make sure to eliminate the soldier first, before picking up the Tattered Pack from the ground near him. This pack contains Nian's lost equipment, so you should activate the shrine and head back to his location to hand it over.
Should you Expose Nian Suichang or Remain Silent in Wuchang Fallen Feathers?
Once players hand over the Tattered Pack to Nian Suichang, they'll have an option to either Expose him, or remain silent in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. This is a rather important choice as it decides whether you'll continue the questline or stop it in its tracks.
If players choose to expose Nian Suichang, he'll be taken aback and explain how he didn't mention the details of his travels to Wuchang before to avoid worrying her. After that, he'll reveal the location of General Ai Nengqi and ask Wuchang to summon him during the fight. Players will unlock the Sorry emote after this interaction, but Nian Suichang's questline can end with this option.
If you choose to remain silent, Nian Suichang will deliver a heroic monologue about how he will never turn a blind eye to a person in need. The rest of the interaction will go similarly to the previous choice, including you unlocking the Sorry emote. However, this choice will ensure that Nian Suichang's questline continues, and you see him in the next location.
