Sega Has Big Plans for PC After Persona 4 Golden Success

While Sega hasn't shown much interest in porting older games to the PC in the past, it seems that this is about to change. After the massive success of the Persona 4 Golden port which launched this past June, the gaming company is realizing the potential of the PC and is looking to start looking into bringing popular titles to Steam and other new systems as well.

During a discussion with investors that was released on August 19, Sega called special attention to the success of Persona 4 Golden. In this Q&A time, Sega said that the game did much higher than it expected. Going forward, Sega says that it will keep in mind PC versions for future games as well as ones that have been previously released, stating that it "intends to aggressively promote the porting of previously launched titles to Steam and other new platforms." This means that other games that have previously been exclusive to systems like PlayStation may be brought to Steam.
