In the walking simulation game called Season: A Letter to the Future, players are a young woman named Estelle, chosen to be the first one to leave her hometown of Caro for the last several decades. After her best friend has a prophetic dream, she is tasked with going out into the world and attempting to find out why the Season is ending and what that means for her and her people. Along the way, players can rack up several trophies or achievements depending on which platform they are on. There are a grand total of 16 achievements on PC and 17 trophies on PlayStation since the trophies typically add a platinum one for collecting all the others.
Story Trophies in Season: A Letter to the Future
There are a handful of story achievements in the Season: A Letter to the Future; these are all things players will pick up just by completing the game. Over Season: A Letter to the Future's 6-12 hours of playtime, there are seven of these trophies.
- Home Leaver: A journey of a thousand seasons begins with a single step. This achievement is gotten the moment players step out of Estelle's mother's home.
- Outside World Seer: See the outside world before it’s gone. Go outside the village for the first time ever in this walking sim game.
- Stranger Encounterer: Encounter a stranger and have a pleasant interaction. Head down to Tieng Valley and meet the Grey Hand working there.
- Shriner Arriver: Arrive at the Shrine. Just as the description says, players just have to see the Shrine of the three gods in Tieng Valley.
- Goodbye Tieng Valley: Exit the Valley before the flood enters it. Day Zero is here, and players just need to move to make way for the flood waters.
- Artist Assistant: Capture Tieng Valley in a moment. Help the Artist of Tieng Valley make some art.
- The End: Witness the end of a season. Beat this indie game.
Side Quest Trophies in Season: A Letter to the Future
The remaining handful of achievements are missable if players aren't paying attention. In order to get every single one done, Estelle and the player will have to explore every nook and cranny of the new world around them during the story of Season: A Letter to the Future.
- Journal Beautifier: Completely customize a page in your journal by adding photos, sounds, doodles, and anything else Estelle can find around to put on the page. Once three to five items have been added, players will get a cutscene indicating that the page is done in this relaxing video game.
- Deep Listener: In the Tieng Valley, look for any location with many memory flowers on it; the flowers will slightly distort the screen with a pinkish sort of wave effect. Press R to use the recording device and record the voices stored in the flowers. The first one players come across is in Tieng Valley, in the graveyard. There is one grave that is bigger than the rest and is covered with pink Memory Flowers.
- Music for Cows: On the Cow farm, set the radio upright and turn it on. After listening to the Gray Hand show, click to change the channel, then some classical music will play for the cows. A beautiful cutscene will play in this gorgeous indie game.
- Grey Hands Praxix 101: Complete the "What are the Grey Hands Doing?" Page in Estelle's notebook.
- Love Uncoverer: At the large tree in the Tieng Valley, take a photo of the locket by the birdhouse. Then speak to the artist and show her the locket; this will unlock this secret trophy in Season: A Letter to the Future.
- Graffiti Artist: In the Tieng Valley, there is a paint bucket past the graveyard. Interact with it to paint some graffiti on the rocks.
- Dream Listener: When sitting on a bench anywhere in the game, players will have the option to listen to a Dream Tape. Take it, and that's how to earn this trophy.
- Tour de Tieng: When players of this PC- and PlayStation-exclusive game get to the farmhouse in the valley, the woman who owns it, Sophon, will have a young son named Kochi. He will offer players a tour of the valley. Take him up on it and complete the tour to get this achievement.
- Emotional Baggage Handler: Help Sophon pick what things to pack and which to leave behind when players meet her in Tieng Valley.
