Seablip is an indie RPG in which you will become a pirate captain, recruit fellow members for your crew, and take to the seas to encounter various enemies, discover new locations, and explore mysterious islands.

However, before you take to the open world seas and set out on adventure, you will first need to acquire some crew members for your ship. For this reason, knowing how to acquire your first crew members, and how to recruit more further down the line will come in very handy during your pirate adventures.

How to Get Crew Members in Seablip

In Seablip, you will be eager to set sail on the seas, take on pirate life, and explore the world around you from the very first moment you begin your playthrough. However, you will first need to acquire some crew members for your ship to function. Luckily, doing so is rather easy, as long as you know where to look, and following this, adding more and more crew members to your crew can be achieved through visiting more locations and spending gold to hire various people who can provide different roles within your crew.

Upon arriving on your home island in this seaside indie adventure, there will be one or two individuals who will show up on the dock on the left side of the island. You can simply walk up to them and initiate a conversation to hire one of these individuals. After hiring them, they will join your crew, and then more individuals will show up in the following days in the same place, eager to join your crew. Each individual may have a varying cost due to the unique set of stats or skills they come equipped with. However, starting crew members can be acquired for a relatively fair price of around 500 Gold each.

If you are looking to obtain these crew members as quickly as possible, then you will need to find a way to make some Gold, and fast. Luckily, there is one reliable way in which you can start building up a stash of Gold, and this is through the fishing minigame. In Seablip, you start the game with a Fishing Rod, which you can use to fish in the water of your island. There will be a couple of underwater treasure chests that can be fished up around your island, so if you can locate and acquire both of these, you should have enough to purchase your first crew member from the dock of your island.

After acquiring your first crew member, you should spend some more time fishing around your island and accumulating a small stash of fish. After this, hop in your boat and travel over to Seablip Main Harbour. Here, you can select the Hire Sailors button to view sailors for hire, and purchase them as members of your crew.

As days progress, different sailors will become available to you for hire, with some of the pricier ones being more proficient in certain skills, enabling you to survive longer on the seas. However, each ship has a limit to how many crew members can fit on baord, so you will also need to keep this in mind.

Seablip is now available to play on PC.
