SD Gundam Battle Alliance is an action RPG that allows players to step into the pilot seat of their favorite mobile suit and take on challenging missions centered around important events in the history of Mobile Suit Gundam.
Players can dive in solo or with friends and take on the game's content. However, players will want a strong mobile suit to stand a chance in the game's higher-level missions, which will take a powerful machine. Mobile suits are separated into three classes in SD Gundam Battle Alliance: Infighter, Allrounder, and Sharpshooter. 10 Hyaku Shiki
The Hyaku Shiki was a mobile suit that appeared in both Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. The machine has had multiple pilots over its history, but the most notable is Quattro Bajeena, an alter ego of Char Aznable.
The Hyaku Shiki played a pivotal role in the Gryps War in the hands of the former Red Comet. In SD Gundam Battle Alliance, the Hykaku Shiki, or MSN 00100, is a powerful suit with various ranged options. The Hyaku Shiki is equipped with a 60mm Vulcan gun as its main that has strong damage. Its sub-one is a beam rifle shot, and its sub-two is a powerful clay bazooka projectile. It is very versatile in combat, but lacks mobility as most of its abilities keep it stationary.
9 Gundam F91
The F91 Gundam originated in the Mobile Suit Gundam F91 animated film released in the early 90s, set thirty years after the events of Char's Counter Attack. The F91 is a prototype Gundam that saw action when Seabook Arno is forced to pilot the machine while trying to fight off a fascist regime that seeks to rise to power.
In SD Gundam Battle Alliance, the F91 Gundam is a spectacular long-range mobile suit with a wide variety of options. The main weapon of the F91 is a high fire-rate beam rifle. The sub one of the F91 is the beam launcher that has good damage, but a long reload speed. The sub two, which is V.S.B.R, a high impact beam round with heavy damage.
8 Banshee Norn
The Banshee Norn was a somewhat antagonistic mobile suit in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn set in the Universal Century timeline. Marida Cruise piloted the original Banshee mobile suit, however, the Norn was an upgrade piloted by Riddhe Marcenas.
The Banshee Norn has multiple hard-hitting ranged weapons at its disposal, most notably the beam magnum rifle. The beam magnum fires high-density energy shots at a target in great succession that have high impact and do heavy damage. It is confirmed that a single shot from a beam magnum is equivalent to four shots from a regular beam rifle. The Banshee Norn’s sub-one is a high-powered armor-piercing shot with fast flight speed. The sub-two of the Banshee Norn is an explosive round shot from its shield.
7 Wing Zero
The Wing Zero is probably one of the most popular Gundam within the entire franchise. The Wing Zero is the flagship mobile suit of the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing anime set in the After Colony timeline, which became one of the most popular Gundam anime in the west. In the series, Wing Zero was the most devastatingly powerful Gundam piloted by the stoically ruthless Heero Yui. In terms of its mechanics, the Wing Zero outperformed all other mobile suits in Speed, maneuverability, and offensive and defensive capabilities except for a select few such as the Tallgeese.
Wing Zero’s abilities in SD Gundam Battle Alliance center around its Twin Buster Rifle, which is also its main gun. Wing Zero’s sub-one fires a direct beam projectile that explodes on impact in a decent radius, while its sub-two fires a concentrated, prolonged beam for heavy damage.
6 Kshatriya
The Kshatriya was an enhanced mobile suit that first appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn series set after the One Year War. It was a main adversary of the Unicorn Gundam and its pilot, Banagher Links. The pilot of the Kshatriya was Marida Cruz, also known as Ple Twelve. Marida Cruz was a clone of the powerful Newtype, Elpeo Ple from Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, and as such, was an artificial Newtype.
The Kshatriya is a massive mobile suit with a wide arsenal of solid ranged abilities in SD Gundam Battle Alliance. The machine's main gun is a beam rifle with decent attack speed. The Kshatriya’s sub-one is an extending beam that knocks down on impact, while the Kshatriya’s sub-two is its most versatile skill as it has access to the funnel system, which can send our homing machines that fire on the target from multiple directions.
5 Qubeley
The Qubeley was one of the main antagonist mobile suits belonging to Haman Karn in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Haman Karn was the driving force of Axis Zeon, and one of the most skilled female pilots in the Gundam franchise. The Qubeley benefits from the ability to use Funnels, like the Sazabi used by Char.
In SD Gundam Battle Alliance, the Qubeley is equipped with a palm-mounted beam rifle that has a significant rate of fire to go along with its fast movement speed. In addition, the Qubeley's sub one and two are ranged attacks with funnels that track targets dealing damage and can be used together.
4 Providence Gundam
The providence Gundam first appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed anime series in episode fifty. It was developed from the stolen G-suit mobile suits that Zaft stole from the earth forces during the beginning of the series. One of the resident Char clones of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed anime, Rau Le Creuset, was the machine's pilot. Creuset was revealed to be Mu Laflaga, who served as a protagonist in the series before his supposed death.
The Providence Gundam is a substantial range contender in SD Gundam Battle Alliance. It wields a high-powered Judicium beam rifle, which has a high rate of fire. The sub-one of the Providence Gundam is a bi-directional beam attack utilizing the funnels on its backpack to attack in several directions simultaneously along with the beam rifle. The sub-two of the Providence Gundam fires off all the funnels on its back to seek and attack a nearby enemy at great range.
3 Cherudim Gundam
The Cherudim Gundam comes from the successful Mobile Suit Gundam 00 anime series. It is the second mobile suit piloted by Lockon Stratos, who previously piloted the Gundam Dynames. The Cherudim Gundam is known for its expertise in ranged combat, having several options in both defense and offensive ranged capabilities that can quickly overwhelm targets.
The Cherudim Gundam's main weapon is its high-impact beam rifle, which does reasonable damage and has a magazine size of eight. Its sub one is shield bit funnels that can perform offensive and defensive maneuvers, hitting targets at range with beam damage and protecting the suit from incoming damage. Its sub two Cherudim Gundam is a high-damage single shot beam sniper rifle that is the go-to for clearing weaker units off the map.
2 Gundam ZZ Full Armor
The FA-010S, or “Full Armor ZZ Gundam,” is the third upgrade from the base model and flagship mobile suit of the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ anime. Piloted by the young Judau Ashta, the Full Armor ZZ Gundam was first seen in the final battle between Ashta and Puru Two.
The Full Armor ZZ Gundam is an incredibly powerful machine in SD Gundam Battle Alliance with a great set of hard-hitting and fast-moving projectiles at its disposal. The Full Armor ZZ Gundam is fitted with the Double Beam rifle as its main gun, a missile launcher, and a mega beam launcher as its sub-one and sub-two. All of the Full Armor ZZ Gundam's attacks are extremely fast, which makes it great for ranged battles.
1 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam
The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam is a mass of firepower and design, appearing for the first time in the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn anime in episode seven. Piloted by Banagher Links, the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam is completely outfitted with the most powerful arsenal possible without going over weight limits. Unfortunately, among the vast amount of weapons available to the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam, only a few are available inside the game.
The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam's main weapon is its dual beam Gatling guns mounted on each arm underneath its shields. The sub-one of the machine is a multi-shot rocket blast mirrored by its sub-two; both have decent flight speed and heavily damage targets on contact.
SD Gundam Battle Alliance is available on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
