Schedule 1 is one of those games in which things get quite complicated as you progress. It's safe to say that after relocating to the Chinese Restaurant, managing the customers and planting the materials can quickly get out of hand without a proper schedule.
It won't take long to realize there is a lot of work to do with little time left. This is where owning a vehicle could come in handy. Driving is a lot faster than running, and it will help Schedule 1 players a lot with deliveries. But a car comes with more benefits than just quick traversal.
Schedule 1: How to Get a Gun
A gun is a valuable tool that can save your life in Schedule 1. Here's all you need to know to acquire a weapon for yourself.
How to Get a Car in Schedule 1
Dealership Location
Players can purchase a car from Hyland Auto dealership, but it will not be an option in the early-game, as some story progression is required. So, if you want to drive your car as soon as possible, make sure to complete the campaign objectives marked by an orange star as quickly as possible.
After moving to the room above the Chinese Restaurant, Uncle Nelson will ask you to get a Mixing Machine. Then, the player is required to buy some mixing ingredients and craft their first mixed material. After completing this part, Uncle Nelson will call again, tasking the player with visiting three different locations, including the car dealership.
Now, head inside Hyland Auto and talk to the salesman. This will unlock an option for purchasing a vehicle. However, the price tags for cars are quite expensive, and it will require a lot of work to get a medium-level car. The cheapest vehicle that you can get costs $5,000. Below, you can check out all available vehicles and their respective price:
- The Shi*box - $5,000
- The Veeper - $9,000
- The Bruiser - $12,000
- The Dinkler - $15,000
- The Hounddog - $25,000
- The Cheetah - $40,000
While a vehicle will help you deliver the materials to your customers quickly, it also comes with a trunk that offers some empty slots for carrying things. Depending on the vehicle's model, the number of slots will differ.
How To Customize and Retrieve Cars
Pimp Your Ride
After purchasing the car, it will be ready to pick up in front of the Hyland Auto dealership. With the city's small scale, it's hard to lose your vehicle, but if you ever leave it far away from the city or get stuck in an unfixable situation, you can get some help from the mechanic.
The mechanic can be found on the opposite side of Hyland Auto, next to the gas station. You can always retrieve your vehicle from the mechanic wherever it was left, but keep in mind that it won't be a free service. You can also ask the mechanic to change the vehicle's paint in the same location, which will also cost some bucks.
The customization of vehicles is currently only limited to the paints, but it might receive more options in the future, as Schedule 1 is still in the early access phase.
