As with any game, knowing how to save is an important part of Scarlet Nexus. With so many different titles using different methods for saving, it can be a bit difficult to keep track of it all. Fans might be wondering whether or not this game uses autosaves or manual saves, and if it does use manual saves, how does one go about using them? Thankfully, saving in this game is not complicated, although it does require players to do a little more than just entering their pause menu and pressing save. Here's everything players need to know about saving in Scarlet Nexus.

The campaign of Scarlet Nexus  is around 25 hours long depending on how much grinding and optional content the player partakes in, so it's not likely that most players will be finishing in one sitting. Saving and quitting is a vital feature in any game, so players will want to be well versed in how to go about doing this here.

To answer the first question, Scarlet Nexus  uses a mixture of manual saves and autosaves, meaning players don't have to rely on an autosave feature to keep track of their progress. This gives players the best of both worlds, as it gives them much more control over their save files. Players can choose exactly when and how often they want to save, potentially even making multiple save files allowing them to revisit certain areas or parts of the story. In the unfortunate event that players forget to save before signing off, most of their progress should remain in tact.

In order to manually save, players need to find a specific NPC. Satori the Archivist can be found in various spots throughout the game, and players can find him easier by looking for a yellow shopping cart icon on the map. Speak to Satori and he should give players the option to make a new save file or save over an existing one. By contrast, the game's autosave simply triggers whenever the player reaches certain checkpoints or completes certain missions, but it can be unreliable for one major reason.

At the moment, Scarlet Nexus  only has one autosave slot, so if players have more than one save file going on at the same time, they won't be able to rely solely on the autosave feature. This is especially important to remember for players that are going through both Yuito and Kasane's stories simultaneously.

Scarlet Nexus  is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
