Fans have launched a passionate campaign called Save WOT, complete with its own website, to rally support for The Wheel of Time after Amazon decided not to move forward with Season 4. The goal of the campaign is to show just how much love there still is for the series and to convince another streaming platform to pick it up. The landing page of the website includes a link to a 'Sign The Petition' page, where fans can sign the petition, raise awareness about the campaign, and be a part of the movement. As soon as fans click on the 'Sign The Petition' button, they are taken to a different page where the creators of this petition have listed reasons why the show should be renewed or continued.

One letter is addressed to Sony Pictures Television, while the second letter is addressed to Amazon MGM Studios and urges the studio to renew the series for a fourth season. On the other hand, the third and final letter is for all the other streaming platforms. In that letter, the petitioners urge other streaming services to acquire the fantasy series because it has a global appeal. As of the writing of this piece, more than 73,500 people have signed the petition. Meanwhile, 'Save WOT' continues to trend on social media platforms such as X, Reddit, and Facebook.

It truly came as a shock when Amazon announced that it wouldn't be moving ahead with the series and was cancelling it without giving it a satisfying conclusion. Deadline reported that Amazon decided to cancel the show due to financial reasons. Although it's not unlikely for production houses or streaming platforms to cancel the show suddenly, it was really appalling that the production giant decided to cancel the show after its strongest edition. The critics praised Season 3 of The Wheel of Time for its epic storytelling, performances, visuals, and emotional value. Currently, it holds a critical rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the highest-rated season in the entire franchise. Also, the way Season 3 ended paved the way for the makers to explore the series in a more nuanced manner.

For example, fans would have loved to see how Siuan Sanche's death might have impacted Moiraine. In the books, Siuan died during the final battle. However, in The Wheel of Time series, Siuan was subjected to a sham trial and killed by her fellow Aes Sedai. After her death, Elaida takes the throne and begins her ruling. Meanwhile, Rand al'Thor made everyone believe that he was the Car'a'carn and that the Aiel should follow him to defeat the Dark One. Moreover, Egwene still believes that Rand is not in control of his powers. These are some of the plotlines that fans never got to see in detail.

In an exclusive interview with The Best War Games, showrunner Rafe Judkins noted how he wanted to explore the relationship between Rand and Egwene in future seasons. As per Judkins, Egwene is the only one who "doesn't bow to him" (Rand), and their relationship "has really moved from a place of unity to a place of potential conflict," which made this particular plotline really intriguing. With the cancellation of the series, fans don't know if they'll ever see the story move ahead, and this is not the only question that needs to be answered.

All three seasons of The Wheel of Time are available for streaming on Prime Video.
