Boruto or Sarada Could Die
Their Lives Are in Constant Danger
Perhaps the most devastating ending that the Boruto manga could deliver to fans would be the death of either Boruto or Sarada. Fans have seen Boruto die once, with his chest being impaled by Kawaki without hesitation, which shows there’s always a slim chance it could happen again. If it weren’t for Momoshiki’s desperate efforts to save his life, Boruto would have long been dead, leaving Sarada to carry the entire series on her shoulders.
Of course, many fans would argue that killing off Boruto in his own manga series seems impossible, even if his life is constantly at the center of danger. Still, the threats surrounding Boruto are getting more serious as the Otsutsuki conflict remains unresolved, not to mention the Human God Trees, alongside Code, all want him dead and gone. If this wasn’t enough, Kawaki is also aiming to send him to the afterlife to prevent any serious threat to Naruto’s life. With so many powerful enemies targeting him, there’s no telling what the future will have in store for him, as well as his relationship with Sarada.

While Boruto lives a life full of uncertainty, Sarada’s life is also at risk. In the latest chapters of Two Blue Vortex, she remains in constant danger with the Shinju clones, particularly Hidari, aiming to kill her for their personal interests. If either Boruto or Sarada were to die, that loss would absolutely become a significant factor in amplifying their strength and motivation in the fight against their enemies.
Who knows—it's possible that one of them, likely Sarada, could end up killing Boruto, especially if he becomes the greatest threat to the world due to Momoshiki’s influence. Such an ending would surely be traumatic for fans who have supported their bond since day one.
Boruto Could Choose Another Love Interest

It’s no secret that Sarada is not the only one racing toward Boruto’s heart. There’s Sumire, the class representative who has always been vocal in showing her romantic feelings for Boruto without hesitation. Although she mostly fades into the background as her character has no direct ties to the central plot, she supports Boruto in her own little ways, which somehow reminds fans of Hinata Hyuga’s efforts for Naruto back in the day.
Back then, Hinata had always been sidelined by Sakura, and yet she was able to end up with Naruto. If this pattern continues in the manga, there’s a possibility that Sumire has a fighting chance to get together with Boruto instead of Sarada. On the contrary, Sarada could also find another love interest, either in Mitsuki, Kawaki, or any other male character from the next generation.

While both Boruto and Sarada inherit the Will of Fire, they aim to embody it in different ways. Sarada dreams of becoming Hokage, whereas Boruto chooses to go down the same path as Sasuke, supporting the Leaf Village in the dark.
Although Sarada and Boruto’s future roles complement one another, the way they would handle issues and problems may be different. Fans have seen them clash time and again during their missions, revealing fundamental differences in their thinking and decision-making. This recurring tension suggests that emotional distance between them is always a possibility as the story unfolds.

For many fans of the BoruSara ship, seeing them together would be the perfect and most rewarding outcome in the Boruto manga.
