The next time players start a new game in Rusty’s Retirement, the game presents them with a map selection menu that features two unlocked maps, along with three locked maps. At this point, players might wonder how they could unlock all the remaining maps in the game.

When starting a new game in Rusty’s Retirement, the game presents players with a small patch of land with additional locked areas on both sides of their farm. These locked areas can be unlocked to extend the farm. Unlocking each section of the area requires spending a certain number of spare parts:

Unlocking First Area: Requires 6,000 spare parts (12,000 for both sides).
Unlocking Second Area: Requires 18,000 spare parts (36,000 for both sides).
Unlocking Third Area: Requires 30,000 spare parts (60,000 for both sides).
Unlocking Fourth Area: Requires 42,000 spare parts (84,000 for both sides).

In total, players must spend 192,000 spare parts to unlock all areas of their farm. This entire process can take anywhere from 10-12 hours.

Sandy Desert: The Sandy Desert map is one of the most challenging maps for Rusty’s Retirement, as cultivating crops on it requires more of an active approach than the touted idle approach. This is because leaving crops unattended for a long time causes them to wilt away. Players might want to depend on bots to expedite watering and harvesting of crops. Additionally, they may want to turn on Focus Mode when playing on Sandy Desert to slow down production time.
Blossom Forest: Similar to the Open Range map, but cherry blossom trees act as obstacles. Players must plan their farms around these trees. The Blossom Forest also has a unique appeal because of how the pink trees create a fantastic contrast against the green land.
Desert Oasis: This map is basically the Sandy Desert with some streams and pools of water scattered throughout. The presence of water slows down the crop wilting rate as opposed to the rate of wilting on the Sandy Desert map.
