Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma: Murasame Romance Guide (Best Gifts for Murasame)

If you want to romance Murasame in Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma, there are a number of steps involved. Here's how to get started.

Ulalaka's Profile Overview in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

  • Birthday: Spring 27th
  • Residence: Spring Village

Unlike other romanceable characters, Ulalaka isn’t a regular villager. She’s a spirit of music and spring, tasked with maintaining Azuma’s well-being. You first encounter her in a dream after finishing the “Finding the Weird Animal” quest, where she pleads with you to take her place in defending Azuma, as her life force has been fully spent. She also gifts your character a sacred instrument that allows you to perform a drum dance, bringing prosperity wherever it's played. Technically, you meet her before Hina and Mauro.

To romance Ulalaka in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you’ll need to complete her relationship quests, max out your bond level, and then work your way toward dating and marrying her. As for her location, she’s usually found sitting at her shrine, enjoying the view of Spring Village from the back of the shrine grounds, or dining at Iroha's Teahouse.

How to Increase Bond with Ulalaka in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

To increase your bond level with Ulalaka in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you'll need to spend quality time with her by remembering her birthday, giving her daily gifts, having quick chats, listening to her requests, and more. Here's a quick timeline of the tasks you can do to reach your goal. Keep in mind that you’ll need to hit bond level 10 with her to unlock the marriage option.

  • After meeting her in the village, you can start raising your bond level by using the “Let’s Chat” button. You can also upgrade your Village Level to strengthen your friendship with her; since she’s the spirit of the town, taking care of the village naturally makes her happy. If that feels like too much work, just talk to her daily until you make it to bond level 1. These conversations only improve your connection slightly, but it’s the best method early on.
  • Once you get to bond level 1, you’ll be able to add her to your party and have her join you in combat, but only after clearing the “Checking on Takumi” quest. Around this point in the main story, you’ll also gain access to Personal Requests from Ulalaka, which help build your relationship even more, so take full advantage of both options.
  • When her birthday arrives, Woolby will notify you, or you can check the calendar ahead of time. On that day, you’ll see a “Celebrate Birthday” option in her chat menu. Using it is a great way to grow closer to her.
  • Wrapping up the Takumi quest also unlocks the "Let's Hang out" option, allowing you to discuss different topics with Ulalaka and give her gifts (once per day). However, to hand over gifts, you must first open the People Person social skill node in the Social Activities skill tree.
  • At bond level 3, Ulalaka’s Bonding Quests become available. These are essential for increasing both intimacy and overall relationship level. The quests will appear automatically; just track and wrap them up one by one. This is different from Hina, whose bonding quests only show up after you advance to Winter Village.
  • Once you reach bond level 4, you'll get the option to grab a bite with Ulalaka at different locations. This option appears under the Let's Hangout menu but only becomes available after opening the Sweet Talker activity in the social skill tree.
  • Finally, after stepping into bond level six, you’ll be able to cook meals together, an important milestone in strengthening your relationship with her. Just head to any cooking hub like Iroha’s Teahouse, use the cooking option, choose your recipe, and select her using the F button.

Keep up with these tasks, and you’ll soon max out your relationship with Ulalaka.

How to Marry Ulalaka in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma

To marry Ulalaka in Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, you’ll need to confess your feelings, take her on three dates, and then invite her to the Fateweaver Shrine for the marriage ceremony. Most of these steps, like expressing your feelings and going on dates, will happen naturally as you complete her relationship quests. To move forward with the marriage, however, you must have bond level 10 with her and finish all 19 bonding quests. Here’s the full list:

  1. Living Up to the Title of Chief
  2. Getting to Know Ulalaka 1

Once all of that is done, Woolby will prompt you to take the next step by visiting the Fateweaver Shrine to get married. After collecting the items, speak to Ulalaka and take her to the shrine. The ceremony will begin on its own. Then, five in-game calendar days after the marriage, you’ll unlock the option to have a child with her.
