According to The Daily Mail, Tom Felton will join the crew for the upcoming HBO adaptation of Harry Potter. Felton famously played Potter's arch nemesis, Draco Malfoy, in all of the Harry Potter movies, being one of the lead stars of the story. The report claims that Felton has the blessing of author JK Rowling and will be the original cast member involved in the new production. However, Felton is not expected to take on an on-screen role as HBO is looking to distance itself from the movie series.

Instead, Felton is going to be undertaking work behind the scenes this summer when the first season of Harry Potter is filmed. That will be based on the original story, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, with the entire season being dedicated to it, despite it being the smallest of the books.
