Battlefield 6’s release date is reportedly scheduled for October 10, according to a recent reveal by a historically trustworthy dataminer group. Hype surrounding Electronic Arts’ highly anticipated shooter has been steadily building over the last few weeks, as more details about the title have come to light. An official reveal trailer for Battlefield 6 is set to premiere on Thursday, July 24.
For those keeping a close eye on the proceedings, it’s clear that marketing for the game is ramping up quickly, as evidenced by the recent BF6 promotional package leak. Fueling anticipation for the title even further, EA has confirmed that a Battlefield 6 open beta is in the works, opening the door for eager fans who did not get a chance to enter the Battlefield Labs closed playtests. Although there is no official announcement for when the open beta will begin, rumors suggest it could be happening as early as August 4.
Why Battlefield 6's Open Beta Dropping Soon Would Make Perfect Sense
As DICE and EA get closer to a full reveal and the evidence piles up, a Battlefield 6 open beta dropping soon would make perfect sense.
According to a recent Reddit post, the Telegram dataminer group 1BF is claiming that Battlefield 6’s current release date is October 10. The message warned, however, that the date may be subject to change, and that fans shouldn’t “take it as 100% truth.” The leak also revealed that the game will have a “Phantom Edition,” likely similar to Battlefield 2042’s Ultimate Edition, although no details were provided. Additionally, it appears that Battlefield 6 may not have the Russian language, as it was not present in the data that the dataminers had access to.
Battlefield 6 Is Reportedly Releasing October 10
The 1BF Telegram has been a frequent source of leaks and rumors for Battlefield 6 in the past, revealing gameplay information, concept art, and Battlefield Labs Alpha details. Lending even more credence to the release window rumor is the fact that an October 10 launch would line up with how EA has done things previously. Battlefield 4 released on October 29, BF1 on October 21, BF5 on November 20, and BF2042 on November 19. It’s evident that for mainline Battlefield games, an October or November release date is EA’s preference. Chances are good that this remains true for BF6 as well.
That said, fans should still take this rumored release date with a grain of salt. If this leak is true, it is very likely that Electronic Arts and DICE will offer official confirmation in the Battlefield 6 reveal trailer scheduled for July 24 at 8 AM PT. There is a small possibility, however, that they might opt for a shadowdrop instead.
