However, deciphering it takes a bit of work as it appears to be written in an unusual language.
Talk To Maia About Coggie's Old Recipe Book
The first step in Going Green is to talk to Maia at her cafe on the north side of town. Talk to Maia and select the 'Ancient History' dialogue option, and she will tell you that she can upgrade Sushi Bot's processor to decode the language, provided she has the right equipment. Fortunately, she's already got it covered and tells you that the book is a guide to performing rituals from Rolling Hills thousands of years ago, with each ritual requiring an offering.
You might have guessed that offerings are edible in nature. Your task now is to grow a giant cucumber, with the first offering essentially being a giant Kappa Roll that uses a cucumber as thick as a tree trunk. She suggests Arman could be the person to speak with regarding this matter.
Ask Arman About Giant Cucumbers
Head to the market near Sushi Bot's restaurant to ask Arman about the giant cucumbers. Arman will tell you he could help you grow some if you can gather a few things:
- Heirloom cucumber seeds
- Nutrient-rich fertilizer
- A place to grow crops

Find A Place To Grow Crops
When rolling along to Wren's workshop, you might spot a garden patch outside. You can interact with this spot to check it, making Sushi Bot wonder if it's possible to use it to grow the seeds.
It turns out Sushi Bot is on to something - if you head inside the workshop and speak with Wren, she says you can use the garden for 500g. If you already have the spare cash, you can give her the money immediately. Otherwise, you must open the restaurant to make up the necessary funds.
Return to Wren once you have enough money and give her the 500g to access the land.
Find Nutrient-Rich Fertilizer
The next step in Going Green is to find nutrient-rich fertilizer. Head to Maia's cafe and speak with her to ask about obtaining some nutrient-rich fertilizer. Once again, she can help, but this time, you need to get her five samples of food waste.
You can get this by cleaning dirty tables at your restaurant, so serve up some more sushi until you've got enough food waste. When you have enough, return to Maia, and she will give you the nutrient-rich fertilizer. It's now time to get planting.

Return to Wren's garden to find Arman waiting there for you. Check the garden using the interact button to begin the process, triggering a cutscene that leans into gardening sim elements with Arman and Sushi Bot planting the seeds together.
To continue, you must wait a couple of in-game days for the seeds to grow, which means opening the restaurant at least twice. This serves as a good opportunity to complete other quests before proceeding, like Wifi Woes.
After two restaurant shifts, a cutscene will trigger in which Arman will tell you that the seeds are ready, and the whole gang will visit the town shrine for a surprise visitor. Upon completing Going Green, you can keep leveling up your sushi restaurant to level 10 to continue and progress the story.
