Despite not even having released yet, Rogue Company  is causing quite a stir. In similar fashion to Valorant's Twitch fueled early access, many players have already gotten a chance to jump into the game's closed beta and see what it's all about, and for the most part, fans are happy with what they see. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, Hi-Rez Studios has shared a 2020 content roadmap detailing where the game will go from here.

Content roadmaps are starting to become an industry standard, as they are a vital tool that developers can use to openly communicate with fans. Though silence from developers certainly breeds mystery, it also can lead to frustration and loss of interest, so it is a good thing that Rogue Company  is opting for a more transparent route.

The roadmap can be seen below, and details three major phases of upcoming changes and additions to the game. Phase 1 looks to be focused on giving players more agency in their appearance and implementing a deserter penalty, but there is some new content coming as well. This includes a surrender feature and a new map called Vice.

Phase 2 is particularly exciting, as it reveals that a new playable rogue will join the roster. In addition, ranked play and custom matches will be added, and players will be able to level up rogues. Finally, Phase 3 allows players to level up their equipment, makes some gameplay improvements, and introduces a battle pass system. Interested players should head over to Twitch and try and snag a code for the unexpected Rogue Company  closed beta.

Rogue Company  is in closed beta for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
