Rockstar sent a gift package to a Red Dead Online player who spent 6,000 hours enjoying the Western-themed action-adventure game on Stadia. The online version of Red Dead Redemption 2 launched in beta in 2018, and for many players, it quickly became an entertaining time sink. It allows fans to remain immersed in the realistic, highly detailed world even after completing the single-player campaign.Unfortunately those who purchased Red Dead Redemption 2 on Google’s cloud gaming service will have to migrate elsewhere, as Stadia's service shuts down on January 18 one minute before midnight. Many gamers were understandably upset at the announcement and concerned about their save files. ItsColourTV, a worried Red Dead Online player with 6,000 hours in the game, excitedly shared that Rockstar had reached out to him with reassurance that saved items could be transferred from Stadia to a different platform. With the official ending date of Google Stadia now arrived, ItsColourTV revealed that he had been sent a gift box from Rockstar as a thank you for the many, many hours he put into Red Dead Online on the platform. Later that day, ItsColourTV unboxed the gift during a YouTube livestream to show the generous array of items he received.
