Recently, several players were taken by surprise as Roblox chose to remove all Toyota-branded cars. Roblox player SnakesShedThereSink encountered a similar issue when they loaded up Greenville, a driving game. They discovered that two cars were no longer part of their collection: the 2021 Elysion Arete (Sport) and the 2021 Elysion Slick Hatchback (Type-R Limited Edition), both of which are manufactured by Honda.
After news of major car brands being removed from the game went viral, many gamers started scouring the Roblox car dealerships to see if it was true. Sure enough, these dealerships no longer feature pictures of any branded cars, which include Toyota, Lexus, Daihatsu, Honda, Acura, and several others. While their names are still appearing in the search filter, clicking on them turns up no results.
It is speculated that the Roblox Corporation has removed Honda and other auto manufacturers due to expiring licenses. It isn't clear whether they might make a return to the sandbox game, since the developer may be looking to cut costs after posting a $900 million loss in 2022.
