After the Twilight Shop bid farewell, Grow a Garden introduced a new store called the Honey Shop in the latest Bee Swarm event. This shop definitely offers more stock in comparison, including extra seed crops, an exclusive pet egg that can hatch bees, and more.
While going through the stock, you might’ve noticed an item that looks like a honeycomb and is even named after it. But, like many items in the game, it comes with no description of what it is or how to use it. That can leave a lot of players confused. This guide will explain what the Honey Comb does in Grow a Garden and whether it has any special abilities.
How to Get Hive Fruit Seed in Grow a Garden
Hive Fruit is one of the two fruit crops introduced in Grow a Garden’s Bee Swarm event. Here’s how to get its seed and how much each fruit sells for.
What Does Honey Comb Do in Grow a Garden?
The Honey Comb is a common cosmetic item you’ll find in the seventh slot of the Honey Shop. If it’s in stock, you can grab it for three jars of Honey, or buy it for 29 Robux anytime. Since a few past updates have added tools that could trigger event mutations, like the Night Staff and Star Caller, the Honey Comb gave off the impression that it might attract bees and help you get more Pollinated Fruits, which are essential for collecting more honey.
But it turns out that the Honey Comb is purely decorative in Grow a Garden. We tested it by placing a few around the garden and then watched during Bee Swarm raids, and even tried dropping bee pets near it. But neither the event bees nor the pet bees showed any interest in it, and we still grabbed the same amount of Pollinated Fruits as usual.
How to Use Honey Comb in Grow a Garden
When you buy the Honey Comb, it doesn't go into your regular backpack like tools or seeds. Instead, it shows up in your Cosmetic Inventory. To use the Honey Comb in Grow a Garden, press the gear icon at the top left of your screen to open the cosmetics menu. Once you click on this item, it’ll be placed in a random spot in your land. While in cosmetic mode, you can drag it around and place it wherever you like (i.e., entrance, plants, fences, and more). Players can even build a full honeycomb wall by placing a bunch of them together.
Should You Buy Honey Comb in Grow a Garden?
Since the Honey Comb is just for looks, it's only worth picking up if you want to style your garden and match the Bee Swarm event theme. Otherwise, it's a waste of your hard-earned honey currency. You're better off saving it for more valuable Honey Shop items, like Flower Seed Packs, Pet Eggs, Hive Fruit, or Nectarine Seeds instead.
