Pollinated is an exclusive mutation that made its debut in Grow a Garden during the 1.08.0 update. You’ll need it on several plants to produce honey, which is required to complete the Bee Swarm event and get all the items in the Honey Shop.
Aside from the event, the mutation is pretty useful on its own. It gives your fruits a decent value boost, so you can still sell them for extra Sheckles once you're done with the event. This guide explains all the ways you can get Pollinated fruits in Grow a Garden.
How to Get Voidtouched Mutation in Grow a Garden (Blackhole Event)
Voidtouched is a permanent variant introduced in Grow a Garden with the Buzzy Bee update; here’s how to get it on your fruits.
How to Get Pollinated Fruits in Grow a Garden
Similar to other mutations, you can't snag Pollinated variants while you're offline, so you'll need to stay active to force it on plants. There are two primary methods to get this mutation, and here’s a quick look at both:
Bee Swarm Event
The main way to get Pollinated Fruits in Grow a Garden is by waiting for the Bee Swarm event to begin and letting the bees land on your crops. You can also AFK farm to catch the event passively. For those who don't know, this event kicks off every hour and releases bees that roam around players’ gardens, dusting plants with pollen for about 20 minutes. The bees visit your farm repeatedly, giving you a good number of Pollinated fruits in one cycle. Once the event ends, it resets again after 60 minutes.
Bee Swarm Pets
Another method is to place pets on your farmland that have the Pollinated mutation ability. This makes it one of those variants that can be collected using pets. Here are all the bugs that can help you grab Pollinated fruits faster:
- Bee (ability cooldown: 24:45 minutes)
- Honey Bee (ability cooldown: 19:43 minutes)
- Petal Bee (ability cooldown: 24:49 minutes)
- Queen Bee (ability cooldown: 24:37 minutes)
For the best results, drop all of them (or maybe several of the same kind) on your farm. Their abilities can stack, which means better performance and more Pollinated crops over time. Just make sure you’ve unlocked enough pet slots (eight is ideal) to run this setup in GaG.
Pollinated Mutation Selling Value and Effects in Grow a Garden
Crops that get the Pollinated mutation turn honey-yellow and have a golden aura around them, which makes them easy to tell apart from Gold or other yellow-tinted variants. You can also get closer to the plant to check its tag if you're unsure.
A Pollinated fruit has its selling value increased by three times. So, compared to Wet, Chilled, Chocolate, and Moonlit variants, it’s a better option. The multiplier might not be massive, but the mutation is still worthwhile, especially since it can become permanent for players with exclusive Bizzy Bees pets, letting them earn extra Sheckles with ease.
