When you first hop into Roblox's Grow a Garden, you start with a small lot of land to grow your little farm - just four plots on each side. But that space can fill up quickly, mainly if you’re trying to plant every seed or replant your favorites without things looking messy.
Thankfully, the devs noticed and released a plot expansion system in the latest Cosmetics update. It not only gives you a wider patch to build on but also adds a variety of new decor items to advance your farm’s look and give it some personality. Here's a look at how farm expansion works in Grow a Garden and how to make the most of it.
Grow a Garden: All Pets & What They Do
Pets have been part of Grow a Garden since the 1.04.0 update, helping players in numerous ways; here’s a list of all the critters and what they do.
How to Expand Your Garden in Grow a Garden
After the update dropped, three wooden boards labeled "Expand Garden" were added around your farm - two on the left and right sides and one at the back. Expanding your garden in Grow a Garden is as simple as walking up to any side and clicking the Expand button that appears on these boards.
If you do this on the left or right side of your farm, it gives you a wider plot, along with some extra space on the sides where you can add cosmetics to spruce things up. If you expand from the back of your farm, you’ll unlock an extra row of plots, increasing your total to five. You can extend this area up to one more time, giving you a max of six plots in your garden on each section.

If you’re a P2W player, you can also spend Robux to skip the one- or three-day waiting period and unlock the plots right away.
How to Get Sheckles Fast in Grow a Garden
While garden expansion is easy, it costs a lot, so many beginner players might struggle to afford it even if they really want to. But earning lots of Sheckles (in this case, two billion) isn’t such a slow task if you do it right.
If you already have one of the rare crops like Beanstalk or Candy Blossom, you just need to stack mutations on them to increase their selling value to millions. Those who don’t have them can still try combining mutations on cheaper plants.
Pets like Chicken Zombie, Polar Bear, and Pig can help create different fruit variants. Also, pets that clone fruits or seeds can help you snag more coins. Mole is great for digging up Sheckles. Finally, using the Sprinkler glitch can make your fruits grow larger and sell for a hefty amount.
