Staff and New Cast Announcements For Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4
In addition to the July release window announced by Kadokawa late last month, the staff behind the production of Rising of the Shield Hero are organizing a "Shield Fes" event with the series' cast and musicians, which will be held in Tokyo on June 15. The exact roles of the returning cast and staff, but the following cast members will be present at Shield Fes:

- Rina Hidaka (Filo)
- Natsuko Hara (Rishia)
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Ren Amaki)

Two new cast members, as well as character design visuals of their respective roles, have also been released, with Takeo Ōtsuka as Werner and Jirō Saitō as Jaralis. More information about the upcoming Rising of the Shield Hero season 4 will definitely be revealed in the months leading up to the series' release. The series continues Naofumi Iwatani's isekai adventure as the fabled "Shield Hero", one of the Four Cardinal Heroes who have been summoned to protect the Kingdom of Melromarc from the Waves of Catastrophe, but unfortunately for him, the Shield Hero is the weakest of the lot. A shocking betrayal early into his journey sent Naofumi on a very different trajectory, one which would rapidly see him become the kingdom's savior time and time again. Season 4 has a lot riding on it after the disappointment of the second season, and the third season not quite living up to the standard set by the first season, it feels like this is the last chance for Rising of the Shield Hero.
Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 is set to broadcast on Crunchyroll when it is released in July. The first three seasons are also available on the platform.
