In this new Version 1.1 event, Reverse: 1999’s Theft of The Rimet Cup has players scrambling to put not only their knowledge, but strategy and battle skills to the test. The event is broken down into two parts and split over a 13-day period. There are multiple gameplay modes, one of which is the Bio of The Great Thief, which is unlocked immediately once opening the event. The Thief of Thieves, however, can only be unlocked after playing through Reverse: 1999’s Theft of The Rimet Cup storyline.
The decisions in The Thief of Thieves are extremely important, and all add up to the player’s final score in the Mission Report. Timekeepers need to obtain a score of 100/100 to obtain all the rewards in the shop, some of which can be extremely beneficial for the Roar Jukebox. This guide will include a step-by-step explanation of the various options and the correct answers that players should pick to get that 100/100.
Mission 1: Disc of Turin
Each mission will have a 5-day period, with 2 AP to spend each day to complete either Emergencies or Daily Affairs. On the first day, Melania will be asked to watch over a new artifact, which will be transported to the Museum under her tenure as the new head of the Ramirez security company.
Day 1
- The 1st Day is fairly simple and includes only two Daily Affairs. The correct response for the first Daily Affair is “Check it yourself.” This is in regard to an old guard of Melania’s father, who claims the CCTV cameras are out of operation. This option starts players off with a +5 rating.
- The second Daily Affair involves a man claiming to be a friend of Melania’s father. The option “Drive him away” will give players a 5+ rating and add to their points.
Day 2
- This is when Emergencies start to get rampant, and Melania will encounter an upset plumber. Choosing “Mediate the dispute” will earn a +10 rating.
- For Daily Affair, first choose the one that doesn’t involve cleaning the flowerbeds. This is where things get a little tricky, as each player has two different choices. If players have the “Refuse his request” option, choose that task first. If they do not, they will need to pick the Daily Affair which has the “Use more guards to maintain order” option. These will both award players with a +5 rating.
- However, players should note that not completing the task regarding the flowerbeds will indeed result in a -5 rating. There is a chance that the rating may not change, but worry not, for it will get replenished with another +5 rating later on.
Day 3
- The third Emergency will ask players to choose the best option to help revamp the gallery. To get a +10 rating, pick the option, “More arcane props.”
- Since there are two Daily Affairs available for this day and only 1 AP left, the Daily Affair of higher priority matters more. Choose “Drive them away” to get a +5 rating.
- Players should also note that ignoring the spirits in the second Daily Affair will award them an additional rating of +5.
Day 4
- Battle play comes in full force on this day, as players will have to fight off some drunkards in the gallery. Successfully defeating them will earn them a +5 rating.
- For the remaining Daily Affair, opt for the one regarding a shady man and choose to “Test him.” This will add a +5 rating.
Day 5
- The last day only has one Emergency, and players only need to defeat the thieves that tried to break into the gallery. After beating them, they can obtain a +10 rating.
This final activity brings the mission to an end. Once submitting the Progress Report, players can view their 100/100 score.
Mission 2: Mainedonty
Similar to Day 2 in the 1st Mission, the Mainedonty Mission involves more trial and error, since most of the options are randomized. Since most of the Emergencies and Daily Affairs are completely randomized, no two players will have the same options available at the same time. However, with a repeated run-through, this guide has combed out all the potential options with which players can score 100/100 on this mission.
Day 1
- The first Emergency requires players to subdue some outlaws in the gallery. The only option available is to “Stop them!” Once players are successful in the battle, they will earn a +5 rating.
- For the Daily Affair, choose the one where the guard is bitten by the snake and opt for the “Compensate the Guard” option. This will award players a +10 rating.
- Since the other Daily Affair wasn’t touched, players will receive it as an expired issue and earn an additional 5+ rating.
Day 2
- Solve the Emergency first, as usual. Choose the “Call an ambulance” option for the sick gentleman. Keep in mind though, that this will not give any points and wiill only remove the Plants Effect from the final fight.
- The Daily Affair will involve a woman taking pictures of exhibits she is not supposed to. Pick the “Refuse her request” option to earn a +5 rating.
Day 3
- Just like the previous Emergency in the Disc of Turin, choose “More arcane props” to remove the Specialization Effect. Players will not earn any rating by doing this.
- For the Daily Affair, there are four possible scenarios. Some include options that rank higher in priority than the others. The current highest priority affair involves a famous collector who wants to view an exhibit behind the glass. Choosing “Refuse his request” will give players a +5 rating.
- If players do not have the above request in either of the Daily Affairs, they can choose the next one, which is to “Clean the flowerbed.” This is the second-highest priority and will earn them a +5 rating.
- If players do not have either of the above two, choose the Daily Affair with either “Use more guards to maintain order” or “Drive him away.” These will still give players a +5 rating, but the highest priority avoids any rating reduction from the Expired Issues towards the end of the day. If players do not have the highest priority, they should still play through the mission and see if they get a 100/100 score. If not, they will have to try again until they receive that option for Day 3.
Day 4
- The emergency has only one option, “Darn It”, which gives a +10 rating.
- Choose the Daily Affair regarding the guards' night schedule. Choose the option “Insist on the schedule” to earn +10 points.
Day 5
- Like the previous Mission Day 5, there will only be an Emergency that players have to clear out. Protecting the exhibit will result in a +10 rating and that finalizes the Mission Report.

Mission 3: Crystal Skull
The Crystal Skull Mission is a little different compared to the previous missions. The mission is broken down into six stages as opposed to the usual five, and players will have Melania switching roles to become a thief instead.
Stage 1
- The first Emergency of the day will ask Melania to think like a thief. If players choose the option “Talk to the guard,” they can score a good +10 rating.
- The Daily Affair is a simple answer in response to Acey’s question. Choosing the option “Enable the smoke alarm” will give players a +5 rating.
Stage 2
- Tackle the Emergency first, and choose the option “The guards.” Players will obtain a +10 rating.
- There will now be two remaining Daily Affairs and players will have to choose the one at the top of the gallery. Players will be asked, hypothetically, how they would escape if they were caught in the act. The option “Use the Sweet Dream Hallucinogen” will award a +5 rating, and players will thankfully not lose out on the expired issue.
Stage 3
- There are two Emergencies in this stage. Selecting “Perhaps a bit of Sleepy Popping Beans” will score a +10 rating.
- The second Emergency is pretty straightforward as there is only one available option. Select “Enter the hall” to remove the Well Trained Effect from the final battle.
Stage 4
- In this stage’s Emergency, choose “Check the nearby exhibit” to earn a +5 rating.
- One of two Daily Affairs will appear in this stage. If players have the one regarding the cat, choose the option “Use the Bubble Distractor.” If they have a different one regarding an emergency exit, choose the option “Jump out of the window.” They both result in a +5 rating.
Stage 5
- The fifth Emergency can be addressed by choosing the option “Use the Sticky Balls”, earning the removal of the Effect Coffee Lover.
- The Daily Affair choice “Wrap it with clothes” will help subdue the Crystal Skulls singing and earn players a +10 rating.
Stage 6
- In the last stage, there’s one “big bloke” that players have to defeat to successfully steal the Crystal Skull and walk away unscathed.
- The battle requires characters that are over Insight Level 25 and follow the Star & Plant Afflatus. It can be a little tough if players do not have certain characters that deal enough damage, so focus on debuffing, and attacking the main boss first. The main goal of the fight is to defeat all enemies, so if a character falls, it does not matter.
Mission 4: The Football Match
This final stage is the hardest, as it will require Melania to steal a famous oil painting. There are a lot of instances that can take players for a turn, as this Mission uses 3AP instead of the usual 2AP. This leaves players open to more risk, as it’s much easier to gain points or lose a lot through expired affairs. Follow this guide to gain 100/100 in this final section.
Stage 1
This stage comes with two Emergencies and two potential Daily Affairs.
-
For the Emergencies:
- For the first Emergency, earn a +5 rating when choosing the option “Look up Guidance on Security” to find any loopholes in Iverson’s story.
- The second Emergency will immediately appear after the first is completed. Choose “Check the CCTV.” This won’t affect the current rating.
-
Out of the two potential Daily Affairs:
- For the scenario in which Acey asks about the easiest way to sneak into the security room, choose “Enable the smoke alarm.”
- For the scenario in which a shady man comes into the gallery, choose the option “Pay him.”
- Players will earn a +5 rating on each.
Stage 2
For the second stage, there will be 2 Emergencies and 2 Daily Affairs to tackle.
- Deal with the first Emergency that includes the option “Take out Guidance on Security” to remove the Zealousness Effect from the final boss.
- With the second Emergency, choose to “Use it anyway” and not give up the Sleep Popping Beans. Players will earn a +5 rating from this.
- Out of the two remaining Daily Affairs, choose the Quick Quiz proposed by Acey. The option “Roll it up” will provide a +10 rating here.
- Note that players might receive a -5 deduction in their rating for leaving the Expired Issue. However, worry not, as the score will increase in future stages.
Stage 3
- The Emergency in this stage can be cleared by choosing the option “Leave it to me!”, which will award players with a +10 rating.
- The first Daily Affair regarding the cat can be tackled with the option “Use the Bubble Distractor,” giving a +5 rating.
- The second Daily Affair can also be taken on since players still have some AP left. The option “Avoid it” will give players a +5 rating.
Stage 4
- Stage 4’s first Emergency should have the option “Try to escape,” which will result in a battle and a +5 rating.
- The second Emergency will appear immediately afterward. Choose “Retreat for now” to get a +10 rating.
- There will be one Daily Affair left. “Jump out of the window” for a +5 rating.
Stage 5
- There is only one Emergency available when the fifth stage starts. Picking “Read Guidance on Security” will remove the Emergency Charge Effect.
- This second Emergency will have only one option.“Replace the Football Match with a counterfeit” will not change the players' rating.
- The third and final Emergency for this stage offers a single option as well. This will lead to a small battle that players will have to win.
Stage 6
The final stage of the event is a battle in which players will have to defeat The Brain Security Robot. This fight requires characters with a Beast and Plant Afflatus, preferably at Insight Level 40. However, if the battle proves to still be difficult, players should further level up their Insight Level and use Engraved Psych Cubes to increase DMG, as the Boss will be inflicted with Sturdiness and Rigidity during the fight.
