Retro gaming continues to be popular with gamers, many of whom enjoy taking a walk down memory lane by playing classic titles. Gamer Buys Collection of Retro Games for $150
Reddit user Tedsallis is one of those retro gamers who enjoys playing classic games on original hardware. Recently, they shared a picture of an incredible haul they purchased for only $150 from a garage sale. As seen in the picture, the gamer walked away with several different consoles: Sega Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. In addition, the garage sale haul included a plethora of well-known games. Just a few of the titles were Donkey Kong Country, Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Super Mario World for the SNES; Super Smash Bros, Diddy Kong Racing, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards for the N64; and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and Resident Evil Code: Veronica for the Dreamcast.
It is worth pointing out that the deal included several relatively newer games as well. For example, copies of Splatoon for the Wii U and Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the 3DS were visible. Furthermore, there were a bunch of gaming accessories, including controllers. According to Tedsallis, all the games came with manuals, and they even received a bunch of comic books as part of the garage sale deal.
Since posting the incredible haul on Reddit, many players responded positively. The Reddit post already has over 2.3K upvotes, with users commenting about their favorite retro games. In addition, some hoped that all the systems still worked, as Tedsallis said they had “some testing to do.” Regardless, the consensus was that the gamer received an incredible deal, as the sheer number of consoles and classic games from Nintendo and others made the value well over $150.
Classic collections of games and consoles like the one Tedsallis found at a garage sale are a good reminder to stay on the lookout for potential deals. Time will tell what other retro gaming hauls are shown off by lucky fans in the months ahead.
