With both the Bronze and Silver Masks successfully obtained, Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose players have only one more mask to find before they can obtain the Crystal and move on to the next horrifying area that awaits them. Each mask presents its own challenge that players must overcome if they wish to claim them.
Thankfully, the Gold Mask is not guarded by a large invincible monster, so all players have to do is find the mask and overcome the puzzle that stands between them and their prize. Here is how Resident Evil Village players can find the Gold Mask.
Get The Triocular Key
Just after escaping with the Silver Mask, players will find themselves in Dimitrescu's Chambers. Before moving on, Resident Evil Village players should go into the Bathroom and pick up the painting of a snake. This painting is part of an upcoming puzzle, so picking up now will save players the trouble of having to come back for it. Once they have the painting, players should go to the Gallery on the second floor of the Main Hall. There, they will find a series of portraits along the left and right walls. The goal of this puzzle is to arrange the portraits in the correct order. Upon completing the puzzle, players will obtain the Triocular Key.
Go To The Opera Hall
Once Resident Evil Village players have the Triocular Key, they will be able to open the locked door that is just beyond the Courtyard. This newly opened area will lead players to the Opera Hall. The Gold Mask is in plain sight, but completely out of reach as it is surrounded by mold. In order to get the last mask, players will need to find a way to make a bridge. In order to do this, players will need to free the furniture that is being held by up in the air by cores. To do this, they will need to use Rose's Power on the cores.
Destroy The Cores
The first core can be found on the first floor of the Opera Hall. Players need to simply move along the edge of the room to where they can see the Gold Mask. The first core is attached to the pillar on the left. This will drop the piano down into the mold, allowing players to go further into the room. The moment players step onto the piano, several monsters will emerge from the mold. Killing them is recommended since they can easily surround players if ignored. Once the monsters have been dealt with, Resident Evil Village players will be able to stand on the Piano and destroy the second core.
After dealing with both cores on the first floor, players should head up the stairs to the balcony overlooking the Opera Hall. As players move toward the last core, two more enemies will emerge from the nearby room. Once the monsters are dead, players will be able to destroy the last core and complete the bridge leading to the Gold Mask. After that, the way is clear for players to grab the last mask and proceed onto the next puzzle that stands between them and the Crystal.
