Destroying the yellow crates and white vases scattered around the world will reward Leon with Ammo, Pesetas, and sometimes Hand Grenades if he is lucky.
Another handy way to acquire Hand Grenades is to search an area with a lot of crates and break them all. If none of the crates drop a Hand Grenade, the player should reload their most recent save, return to the area, and break the crates again.
The items inside crates and vases tend to change after reloading the game or continuing from a checkpoint, meaning that a crate containing Handgun Ammo in one save could easily contain a Hand Grenade in another. With this method, the player will eventually find a Hand Grenade or two, but it might take some time.
Upon finding and collecting a Hand Grenade in Resident Evil 4 remake, it will automatically be added to Leon's Attache Case. Collecting a Hand Grenade requires the Attache Case to have one empty slot for the explosive to occupy, which is extremely convenient, considering how helpful it can be.
