Originally announced for release on February 20, the Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition version of the game seems to already be available on at least some digital storefronts. For $49.99, so still $10 cheaper than what the base game was before its price drop, Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition gets players the base game, the Separate Ways DLC, and the Extra DLC Pack, which includes the Casual, Romantic, Hero, and Villain Costumes/Filters for Leon, the Casual and Romantic Costumes for Ashley, the Sunglasses (Sporty) accessory for Leon, the Sentinenal Nine and Skull Shaker Weapons, the Original Ver. Soundtrack Swap, and the Treasure Map: Expansion.

Those deciding which platform to purchase the Resident Evil 4 remake on should note that the game is basically the same across PC, PS5, and Xbox, with the exception of one big benefit when it comes to the PlayStation version of the game. Resident Evil 4 remake on PS5 has a free VR mode that lets fans play through the entire game in virtual reality. Capcom previously released a dedicated Resident Evil 4 VR game that earned high praise, and so anyone needing a high-quality experience for their PlayStation VR2 headset may want to get the game on PS5 instead of PC or Xbox.
