Leon will attempt to gain entry to the Church during his first visit in Chapter 1, but sadly, the only way to get inside is to find the Church Insignia key needed to unlock the door. Players will need to reach Chapter 4 before they obtain this key, and once they do, they will be able to return to the Church and investigate what lies behind its once-impassable doors.

With the Blue Dial acquired, Leon can interact with the lever at the back of the Church to reveal the other dials inside the altar. Once this has been done, the player can place the Blue Dial in the altar's vacant slot and rotate each of the three stained-glass windows above by interacting with each of the dials.

The Stained-Glass Window puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Figuring out the positioning of each stained-glass window can be a little tricky, especially because of the number of different colors. The easiest way to solve this puzzle is to rotate each stained-glass window until the colored shapes begin to align.

Because of the Los Illuminados symbol, however, it can be hard to tell if the pieces fit, so players should pay attention to the edges of the window while moving the glass to better see what's lining up. The image above depicts what the stained-glass window will look like when the red and blue pieces are aligned.

Once the green glass has been aligned with the red and blue glass, another Los Illuminados symbol will take shape. To solve the puzzle, this symbol must be rotated to match the position of the same symbol behind the stained-glass window. Lining this symbol up with the one behind it will cause the gate on the left to open, allowing Leon to reach the Church's higher floor where, after a brief cutscene, Chapter 5 will begin.
