For those wondering whether the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 4 will bring back one of the series' most infamous villains, it looks as though fans will get to see Albert Wesker once more, according to a recent cast list. Going down as one of the best Resident Evil games of all time, the fourth entry originally released in 2005 and took things in a new direction. Ditching the fixed camera angles and leaning more towards action, this installment distanced itself from its predecessors, with praiseworthy results.

A cast list over on IMDB shows that Resident Evil 4 will feature Albert Wesker, with the website showing that Connor Fogarty will be voicing the character. Wesker has had a number of voice actors over the years, for both the English and Japanese translations of the games, with Fogarty taking on the role for the villain's appearance in Dead by Daylight. In the original RE4, Wesker only really appears in the Mercenaries mode of the game, so it will be interesting to see in what context Capcom will bring him back for the remake.

Those who have played the series, particularly the older ones, know that Albert Wesker is one of Resident Evil's most famous antagonists. Going all the way back to the original game from 1996, he eventually revealed himself to be a traitor working against the STARS team in order to sell the Tyrant to a company that rivals the game's notorious Umbrella corporation. His distinctive look and B-movie dialog has made him a mainstay bad guy in the series.

With the RE4 remake being made, the trend of modernizing classic Resident Evil games continues. Many may be wondering whether Resident Evil 5 and 6 could also get remakes, and while there's no way to tell for sure, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that Capcom has plans for the later entries in its long-running survival franchise.
