‘It’s Something That We’re Keeping an Eye On’ REPO Developer Speaks About Possible Collaborations

The developer of viral co-op horror game REPO addresses the possibility of collaborations in the future.

During Semiwork’s latest Q&A video, the developer answered many burning questions about REPO’s upcoming content, as well as lore questions and general queries. Semiwork answered 50 different questions and revealed that the new update is coming “soon, very soon,” though it didn’t provide a specific timeline. However, Semiwork did say this would be the final Q&A before the update’s release, which likely means players will know more about it shortly.

REPO’s Upcoming Update Adds Upgrades, Maps, Weapons, and More

Among all of REPO’s upcoming new features, the developer mentioned upgrades for older maps to bring them up to the museum’s standard. The museum will now feature laser alarms, with the developer hinting at how challenging the laser security modules will be. Moreover, Semiwork mentioned that more areas will be introduced in the game after the museum, and that the museum itself will see some new outdoor areas—though these will arrive in a future update, not this one.

Additionally, the developer teased some upgrades for REP O’s carts, an entirely new soundtrack for the museum, and several brand-new weapons. One major new feature is the public matchmaking/server list that will launch with this update.

On top of all this, Semiwork also teased some features the team is working on for future updates. Among these are new monsters (although this update will rebalance some of the existing ones), co-op puzzles and challenge rooms, and more. The developer also mentioned that it would like to add instruments or noisemakers, though doing so will require the implementation of anti-troll safeguards for public lobbies. As players continue enjoying REPO’s fun co-op gameplay, they can look forward to a bunch of new content coming to the game soon.
