The Abyssal Hook is a two-handed melee weapon introduced in Remnant 2 Awakened King. It might not look like much, but it's one of the most practical melee weapons in the game. Here's where to find it.

Remnant 2 Abyssal Hook Location

To get the Abyssal Hook, players need to progress through the DLC's Forlorn Coast map until they reach the Drowned Wen. Don't worry, the Forlorn Coast is mostly static, so players should be able to get the Abyssal Hook without having to reroll their Adventure Mode run.

From the Drowned Wen checkpoint, head to the garden trail area with the shrubs and roaming pig dogs. Go to the right to find a hollow well with a ladder leading down. Follow the underground path to reach the sewers. Clear the enemies in the first large room, then head up the ladder to the left.

There are two giant rat monsters in the next room. Kill both of them, then head to the hallway to the left. The Abyssal Hook will be on a pile of bones in one corner of the room.

The Abyssal Hook is a giant anchor that uses the two-handed hammer's moveset, which is perfect for sweeping through crowds or pummeling targets with strong, overhead swings. Its charged attacks and backstep follow-up attacks have a very high chance of hitting enemy weakspots. It comes with an intrinsic mod called Fathomless Deep, which increases the weapon's melee stagger strength by 10% every time its charged attacks connect, stacking up to three times.

Stagger prevents enemies from moving. This can potentially cancel their attacks mid-animation as well. Players using melee builds with the Challenger Archetype can exploit this by combining the Abyssal Hook with melee-oriented accessories.

The Berserker's Crest ring from Yaesha increases melee charge speed by 20% and reduces melee stamina costs by 25%, making it the perfect accessory to pair with the Abyssal Hook. The Butcher's Fetish amulet also complements this weapon by increasing its critical hit chance and damage after striking an enemy with a charged attack. Players can buy this item from Reggie for 1000 Scrap after beating the game on Veteran difficulty.
