The Prism system was added to Remnant 2 alongside the release of The Dark Horizon DLC, and it gives players the ability to gain some significant stat bonuses and powerful unique effects. While there is an element of randomness inherent to this system, there is a process that can be used to minimize it. This guide is here to detail that process, and fans who follow it will eventually be able to create their perfect Prisms in Remnant 2.

While this guide will touch on some of the foundational aspects of the Prism system, it does assume that the reader has a general understanding of how the system works. If a player does not have that understanding, it is recommended that they return to this guide after reading this explanation of the Prism system in Remnant 2.

Remnant 2: Prism Crafting Guide

Identify Four Desired Fusions

To begin, it is important to understand that a Prism has five Enhancement slots, which players will fill with effects that correspond to the effects that are provided by Remnant 2's Relic Fragments. That said, as players level up their Prisms, certain combinations of effects will combine to create "Fusions." These Fusions allow players to get two effects from a single Enhancement slot, freeing up a slot for an additional effect.

To concretize this idea with an example, a player could have Mod Duration and Skill Duration in two of their Prism's Enhancement slots. Eventually, those two effects would combine into a Longevity Fusion, which puts Mod Duration and Skill Duration into just one Enhancement slot.

With that established, players who want to make their perfect Prisms should begin by identifying their ideal four Fusions, as that is a maximum number of Fusions that can exist in a single Prism. To do this, players should reference this datamined list of Fusions in Remnant 2 and pick the four Fusions with effects that are most aligned with their desired build.

Feed Relic Fragments into the Prism

Remnant 2 players should now feed Mythic Relic Fragments that provide their first Fusion's effects into their Prism. For example, if a player picks Longevity (which combines Mod Duration and Skill Duration) as their first Fusion, they should feed a Mythic Mod Duration Fragment and a Mythic Skill Duration Fragment into their Prism.

Feeding a Relic Fragment into a Prism increases the chance that its effect will appear when leveling up the Prism. The intensity of this increased chance is determined by the rank of the Relic Fragment, and while fans of third-person shooters can feed Fragments that are below Mythic into their Prisms, it is not recommended.

Players should now repeat this process for the second Fusion that they selected. For example, if a player picked Mage (which combines Mod Damage and Mod Power Generation) as their second Fusion, they should feed a Mythic Mod Damage Fragment and a Mythic Mod Power Generation Fragment into their Prism.

At this point, players will have greatly increased their chances of seeing four effects when leveling up their Prism, but the Prism has five Enhancement slots. As such, Soulslike fans should feed one more Mythic Fragment into their Prism, and it should be for one of the effects in the third Fusion that they selected. For example, if the third selected Fusion is Flash (which combines Cast Speed and Use Speed), the player should feed either a Mythic Cast Speed Fragment or a Mythic Use Speed Fragment into their Prism.

Level Up Prism for First Fusion

With the roll chances for five effects increased, fans of action games can finally start leveling up their Prism. At each level up, the player will either add an effect to an open Enhancement slot (until all five are filled) or increase the potency of an effect that has already been selected. While this may seem obvious, the goal here is to fill the Enhancement slots with the five effects that were targeted in the preceding step and then improve those effects as the Prism's level increases.

As a player continues to improve the effects in their Prism's Enhancement slots, they will eventually see one of their targeted Fusions appear during a level up selection. Fans should make sure to select that Fusion, and they will find that they have an open Enhancement slot, and that the level of their Prism has decreased, after that selection is made.

Feed the Prism and Level Up for Second Fusion

After selecting the first Fusion, players should feed a Relic Fragment into their Prism that completes the pairing of their third selected Fusion. To return to the Flash example, if a player had already fed a Mythic Cast Speed Fragment into their Prism, they should now feed a Mythic Use Speed Fragment into it (and vice versa).

Fans can now return to leveling up their Prism, making sure to select their newly targeted effect for the open Enhancement slot when it appears. Eventually, fans of co-op games will have the opportunity to combine two more of their effects into a second Fusion, and they should do exactly that.

Feed the Prism and Level Up for Third and Fourth Fusion

The player should now feed Relic Fragments into their Prism with effects that correspond to their fourth selected Fusion. For example, if a player picked Revitalize (which combines Health Regeneration and Skill Cooldown) as their fourth Fusion, they should feed a Mythic Mod Duration Fragment and a Mythic Skill Duration Fragment into their Prism.

Fans can now return to leveling up their Prism, making sure to select one of their newly targeted effects when it appears. When the opportunity to select a third Fusion arises, players should take it. Remnant fans should then continue to level up their Prism, select the remaining targeted effect for their newly-opened fifth slot, and grab the fourth Fusion when it is available.

Feed the Prism and Level Up to 50

Players should now have their four desired Fusions and one open Enhancement slot in their Prisms. Fans of hard games should fill that final slot by feeding any desirable Mythic Fragment into their Prism and selecting its effect when it appears. Notably, all the effects in the Enhancement slots will be at max power when the Prism reaches Level 50.

Level Up to 51 and Pick Legendary Bonus

Players should now take their Prism to Level 51 in order to select its Legendary Bonus. For the uninitiated, these bonuses are extremely powerful, and there are more than 40 of them in the game. However, fans will only be able to pick from three randomly-selected Legendary Bonuses at Level 51, and there is a high chance that they will not see the effect that they were chasing for their Remnant 2 build.

Cleanse Prism and Try Again

If a player does not get their desired Legendary Bonus, they have the option of clearing their Prism and starting again. Indeed, fans of games with lots of secrets will likely need to go through the process detailed in this guide many times before they create their perfect Prism.
