Remnant 2's The Awakened King DLC enables players to discover many secrets and unlockable rewards within its various map areas in Losomn. One such explorable area within The Awakened King that hides secret doors and paths leading to some decent rewards is the Pathway of the Fallen and its mirror-image zone, the Walk of Remembrance.
Remnant 2: Should You Kill Nimue (One True King Choice Rewards)
Players that are trying to decide if they should kill or spare Nimue in Remnant 2's The Awakened King DLC can find details on that choice here.
The Pathway of the Fallen can be tricky to navigate with its hidden areas and Wraithliege boss fight. However, exploring the Pathway of the Fallen and Walk of Remembrance is worthwhile for its indirect choice-based rewards via an unusual locked door puzzle. There is also only one reward up for grabs depending upon player choice, so it can be helpful for players to first understand what the Memorium Medallion Key does and unlocks.
Remnant 2: Pathway Of The Fallen Walkthrough
Players can find the Pathway of the Fallen through a door on the ground floor inside the Palace of the One True King. Stepping through the door takes players to an ominous-looking path called the Pathway of the Fallen, leading to a handy stone checkpoint near the start for players to save. Players can keep moving forward, defeating any enemies along the way, until a hedge garden area appears near another checkpoint.
Secret Path To Labyrinth Maze
Players should keep following the main path past the hedges until they find a square building with a locked door, which requires a circular key to open. Although it doesn't seem like there is anywhere else to go next when facing away from the door, the first door on the right by the hedge opens to reveal a secret path inside a hedge maze off the map.
Players should be careful when opening the door, as several semi-transparent, ghost-like enemies soon appear. After dealing with them, utilize the lit zones as a guide to navigate the maze, which only has one main route besides its multiple dead ends. However, players should watch out for more spirit enemies and more Dran forces as they fight their way through.
How To Beat Wraithliege Boss
At the end of the maze near a waterfall overlooking a pond area, players encounter the Wraithliege boss, a powerful arcane-like foe that also dishes out dangerous projectiles, can summon spirit-like helpers, and becomes immune to damage at times.
Choosing powerful weapons can help players win the fight quicker, such as using Remnant 2's Nightfall gun if playing as a class like Hunter or Engineer and deploying a turret. It also helps to open the nearby door before the fight to save at the checkpoint, so if players are defeated, they don't have to repeat the maze section.
Defeating the Wraithliege boss rewards players with the Memorium Medallion Key, which opens the previously locked door with the circular keyhole. However, there's more to this area and mysterious key than meets the eye.
Remnant 2: How to Get Anguish
The Anguish Handgun is a secret weapon in Remnant 2's The Awakened King DLC, and this guide contains full details on how to get it.
Secret Door To The Walk Of Remembrance
After beating Wraithliege, players can head into the adjoining room to find a suspicious, mysterious painting leaning against the wall. Shoot the painting to reveal a secret door leading to stairs with a strange mirror at the top. Interacting with the mirror takes players to the Walk of Remembrance, a parallel reverse reflection of the Pathway of the Fallen area.
What To Do With Memorium Medallion Key In Remnant 2
Inside the Walk of Remembrance, players should head down the stairs and turn right to progress through the maze to find a locked door in the same map location as in the Pathway of the Fallen. However, players wearing Remnant 2's Red Prince Crown can open another secret door within the Walk of Remembrance to find Cremated Soul Ash used to make the Knight Guard craftable mod.
Whether in the Pathway of the Fallen or Walk of Remembrance, players now face a choice - they can either unlock the door in the Walk of Remembrance area, or they can use the mirror to return to the Pathway of the Fallen and use the Memorium Medallion Key to unlock the door there instead.
Players should choose wisely, as opening the door in the Pathway of the Fallen or Walk of Remembrance gives them access to different unlockable Remnant 2 Awakened King DLC amulet rewards.
Rewards For Unlocking The Door In Pathway of the Fallen
If players use the Memorium Medallion Key to unlock the door in the Pathway of the Fallen, they get an amulet called the Gift of Melancholy. When worn, the Gift of Melancholy amulet increases all damage dealt by 25% when the player's stamina is at 100% for seven seconds.
Rewards For Unlocking The Door In Walk Of Remembrance
Players who use the Memorium Medallion Key to unlock the door in the Walk of Remembrance get an amulet called the Gift of Euphoria. This grants players a 5% critical chance for seven seconds when they spend 25 stamina that is stackable for a maximum of five times.
