Remnant 2: How to Beat Energy Event & Get Master Portal Key

Once players complete their first world in Remnant 2, they get access to The Labyrinth. This dark area is a returning world from the original title, Remnant: From the Ashes. Before the Root took over, the Labyrinth was a balanced and orderly area. Now, the walls continue to collapse, and the ever-shifting pathways make it hard for players to navigate the area properly.

As players try to get through this labyrinthine maze, they will find a glowing energy orb floating above an altar in the Colosseum of Ruin. Shooting this energy ball triggers an event called the ‘Energy Event.’ This guide comprises everything players need to know to complete this event in Remnant 2.

How to Complete the Energy Event

Right after the nameless traveler shoots the energy ball, it starts glowing brighter and attracts all kinds of Golem enemies. As players start battling these Golems, they’ll notice that the energy ball will start being surrounded by rocks.

Players will have to push through and defeat all the enemies, wave after wave, till they face an Elite Golem. An Elite Golem is a bigger and more resistant creature than small Golems. Players should aim for its weak spot, which is the big glowing sphere in its head. Once players have defeated all the enemies, the energy ball absorbs the surrounding rocks and explodes. This completes the Energy Event.

Players are awarded the Amplitude Trait for completing this event. This trait provides a unique buff that increases the player’s Area Of Effect size.

Due to the procedurally generated nature of the game, this event may not appear for all playthroughs. Players can restart the area or reroll it in Adventure Mode.

How to Get the Master Portal Key

Once they’ve completed the Energy Event, players get access to the locked door in the Colosseum of Ruin. This room is where players will find the Master Portal Key. After they pick up the key, players have to head back to the Fractured Ingress and use it to open up the massive portal.

Using the Master Portal Key creates a new path that leads the player to the Labyrinth Sentinel. The Labyrinth Sentinel is a mandatory world boss and is composed of multiple stone cubes. Players need to destroy all the weak spots (the glowing purple spots) on the cubes to defeat the boss.
