Craft Alpha/Omega Long Gun

The first step toward obtaining the Black Greatsword is creating the Alpha/Omega Long Gun. For the uninitiated, that weapon is crafted McCabe in Ward 13, and it requires a Forgotten Memory. To obtain a Forgotten Memory, players must defeat Annihilation, Remnant 2's final boss.

Get Black Metal Bars

After crafting Alpha/Omega, players should make their way to Ward 13's firing range, speak with Brabus, and buy every weapon that he has for sale. If a player does not have enough Scraps to purchase all of Barbus's weapons, they may want to pursue the strategy detailed in this guide to farming Scraps in Remnant 2.

Once all the weapons have been purchased, players should speak with Barbus again and listen to his new dialogue. At the end of this dialogue, fans will receive the Black Metal Bars, an item that plays a key role in obtaining the Black Greatsword.

Give Black Metal Bars to McCabe

With the Black Metal Bars in hand, Remnant 2 players should talk to McCabe in her workroom in Ward 13 and select the "I have something for you to look at" dialogue option. This action will ultimately lead to giving the Black Metal Bars to McCabe, and she will indicate that she needs some time to tinker with the material.

Wait & Return to McCabe

Players should now fast travel out of Ward 13 and then fast travel back to it. Upon returning to Ward 13, players should talk to McCabe and select the "is it done" dialogue option to receive the Black Greatsword Melee Weapon.
