As you progress through Reigns: The Witcher you'll have more and more tales that Dandelion can choose from to sing about to his audience. The problem is, each of these has an objective that you'll want to get a three-star score for in order to maximize your points scored for the run. Some of these tales won't necessarily complement one another, though. For example, one tale might have you trying to catch a serial killer, while another might task you with making decisions that get Geralt killed by that very same serial killer. In these instances, it's simply not possible to max out your rating on every tale. That's where redraws in Reigns: The Witcher come in handy.

How to Get More Redraws in Reigns: The Witcher

level up dandelion in reigns the witcher

Each time you level up Dandelion, you'll typically unlock a new idea for a tale, which will be added to your rotation. However, when it comes to redraws, you'll get a fresh set after each completed run.

You'll always fully replenish your redraws after each run, regardless of how many you used in the previous run. For example, whether you use one or three redraws, you'll have three redraws at the beginning of the next run

How to Use Redraws

how to redraw in reigns the witcher

When you've got a redraw available, at the beginning of a run when Dandelion deals three 'tales' cards to you, you can select one that you don't like and then press the 'Redraw' option just below the tale's description. This will get rid of that tale and replace it with a new one.

This does mean that if you don't like an entire hand of cards you've been given, you'll either have to use three redraws to change them all, or accept it's going to be a bad run and just go with it.

Tips for Using Redraws in Reigns: The Witcher

  • If you've got a bad hand of tales but don't want to use your redraws, consider just taking on the run and experimenting with the decisions you make to try and get an unusual death. There are various ways you can die in the game, and these can lead to unlocking more content for you to use in future runs.
  • If you don't like all three cards you've got in your hand, rather than using three redraws, try just using one or two and considering your hand again. That card you didn't like in your first hand might be better suited to a run with the one or two other cards you've chosen to redraw, saving you from potentially wasting a third redraw.
  • At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter if you have a bad hand of tales and they lead to a really short or bad scoring run. Reigns: The Witcher is all about pick-up-and-play gameplay, so some runs are supposed to be short. There's no punishment for a bad run, other than not getting the best score, but you can just jump into another run immediately after.
