Stepping into the world of Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, players quickly realize that zombies aren't the only threat here. From mutated variants of animals from the base game to mythical creatures like Chupacabra or the Sasquatch, players can either hunt them down or be hunted by them.

The DLC features Undead Hunter challenges that require players to locate and hunt down specified creatures in the wild. Undead Hunter Challenge rank 5 requires you to find and kill the mythical creature, Chupacabra in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. We're going to help you locate the creature and bring it down, helping you attain the legendary hunter rank in the game.

Players will need to complete the Undead Hunter Challenge rank 4 to unlock the next challenge, which spawns the Chupacabra.

How to Find Chupacabra in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

Players will be able to find Chupacabra in the Mexico section of the map near "Las Hermanas." Although Chupacabra can spawn in multiple locations, it's most commonly found in the location marked on the map above.

Unlock Mexico in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

To get access to Mexico in Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare DLC, players need to complete the "A Cure for Most of What Ails You" quest for West Dickens.

After completing his mission to collect 5 Desert Sage and 5 Violet Snowdrops, starting his second quest "American Imperialism" will unlock the Mexico part of the map.

Reach Cupacabra's Location

Now head to the marked Las Hermanas area in the Mexico section of the map. You can either look towards the northwest side of the area on the left of Agave Viejo, or at the marked north area. Players have also encountered the creature around the Nuevo Paraiso region, so it's worth checking out.

Locate & Hunt Chupacabra

Now comes the tough part of this hunt. Chupacabra is notoriously hard to spawn, even in its designated area. You need to roam around in the general area and hope that the monster spawns. If it doesn't go to a safe house, save the game, and come back the next day to try spawning it again.

Once players see the prompt at the bottom of the screen saying "A Mythical Creature has appeared in the area", it means that Chupacabra has successfully spawned. Now it won't be long before the creature comes rushing at you to attack, so stay on top of your horse. Make sure to use Dead Eye to take it down on the first try.
