Red Dead Redemption is a game about outlaws in the Wild West, so players need to look the part by rocking a Bandana while gunslinging. Whether you're shooting up a bar, or stealing some goods, you can't let anyone see John's face while he's breaking the law. So, simply equipping the Bandana will make sure his reputation stays positive in the West.
Bandana a cool little accessory that players can wear or remove to not only look like a true outlaw, and goes with every outfit you unlock in the game. However, the Bandana isn't just a cosmetic item, it also serves as a gameplay mechanic in Red Dead Redemption.

How to Get Bandana in Red Dead Redemption
Players will be able to purchase the Bandana for $20 from the tailor shop in Thieves' Landing in Red Dead Redemption. After completing a couple of starting missions in the game, the majority of the map will be unlocked for exploration.
The names of larger areas are automatically marked on the map. However, players must venture into these areas to uncover settlements, towns, and shops to uncover them on the map.
Reach Thieves' Landing
Thieves' Landing is located on the northeast side of MacFarlane's Ranch, where John wakes up at the start of the game. Once you're free to explore, venture to the location marked on the map above.
After reaching the location, players will spot the entrance of Thieves' Landing. It is a small community with activities to partake in, a bar where John can get himself tipsy, and some shops to purchase goods. Keep heading into the settlement, and cross a rope bridge over a stream.
Towards the end of the settlement, players will spot a Tailor's shop on the left, right below the Pharmacist in Thieves' Landing.
Buy the Bandana from the Tailor's Shop
Now all you have to do is head inside the shop and talk to the Tailor. After he shows you his wares, buy the Bandana, which costs $20. Now you can open up the inventory and find the Bandana under the "Kit" section of the satchel.
This is how players can get the Bandana early on in Red Dead Redemption. While John is wearing the Bandana, any position or negative actions won't have any impact on his fame, nor will it change his notoriety with the civilians. However, his crimes can still get reported, and a bounty can still be incurred, which has to be paid off.
Do remember to take the Bandana off before completing a mission, otherwise, John won't get any positive points in his fame meter.
