One Red Dead Redemption 2 player has discovered Solomon’s Folly—a hideout used by the Del Lobo gang—and a new hat after 7 years and “countless hours played.” Regardless of how much time has passed since its initial release, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to be relevant, with players jumping into its world and discovering new secrets and details they hadn’t seen before.

Rockstar’s smash hit Red Dead Redemption 2 came out in 2018, bringing players into its impressively detailed and well-crafted Wild West world, packed with activities. RDR2 serves as a prequel to the first title released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and tells the story of Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang, a group of criminals struggling to adapt to a rapidly changing world and the new rule of law that threatens their way of life. In addition to its captivating and morally complex story, RDR2's massive open world hides secrets in every corner, with players still finding new things after years of playing. Now, one player has run into a gang hideout they hadn’t seen before.

The beauty of Red Dead Redemption 2 is its total freedom, but even with that freedom, there are still things players do not take kindly to.

A player known as Kezzab321 took to Reddit to share with the RDR2 community a screenshot of the moment they discovered a hideout located southeast of Tumbleweed, identified by players in the comments as Solomon’s Folly. It belongs to the Del Lobos, an infamous Mexican-style gang in the game. Like many other Red Dead Redemption 2 gangs, the Del Lobos are a group of outlaws who raid towns, rob trains, and roam the world causing mayhem.

RDR2 Player Discovers Del Lobo Hideout After 7 Years

According to players in the Reddit post’s comments, the Del Lobos hideout features money and jewelry, but to get them, players must first kill a bunch of gang members. Another player advises finding high ground to the west of the hideout, from where most of the Del Lobo members can be easily killed using one of the rifles featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

While fans of Rockstar Games may currently have their attention on Grand Theft Auto 6, RDR2 is always in the spotlight. Earlier this year, Red Dead Redemption 2 broke its Steam player record yet again, with a concurrent player count of 92,508, proving once more its enduring appeal. Moreover, recent rumors claim that players may potentially be able to experience Arthur Morgan’s story on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, with anonymous unofficial reports teasing a possible release of RDR2 on the console later in 2025. It’s worth mentioning this is just a rumor, though it may bring yet another good reason for fans to jump back into RDR2 in the future.
