Though the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is only fictional, Rockstar Games ensured that its players would have a truly immersive experience. Beyond providing the compelling storyline, a variety of interesting RDR2 characters, and action-packed shootouts for gameplay, the developers worked hard to keep the Wild West theme alive through the game's locations and settings. With beautiful scenery interspersed with lively cowboy towns, players have likely built a fondness for specific areas within the game. This is what a Red Dead Redemption 2 fan recently showcased as they painted Arthur Morgan looking over the town of Valentine.
Many Red Dead Redemption 2 fans will likely remember Valentine as one of the first major locations they will visit within the initial hours of gameplay. The town has most of the amenities that players will likely see in other, bigger towns such as a hotel, a bank, a sheriff's office, general shops, and more. And though Valentine plays a key part in the beginning of RDR2, those who were able to finish the game will likely enjoy the town's participation during the game's epilogue episodes.
As a way to display their fondness of Valentine and Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan, Reddit user Mighty6Tighty6Whitey painted the character looking over the small town using traditional materials. In their painting, Arthur is seen leaning against what looks like a tree as he watches over one of the town's main streets. Some key structures such as the Saints Hotel and Worths General Store are seen in the fan art, while the construction of the Valentine restaurant was also depicted in the painting. Fans likely remember most of these buildings as they probably went through several missions in Valentine.
On the Reddit thread, fellow RDR2 fans were very impressed by the artist's work. Mighty6Tighty6Whitey explained that they used traditional materials such as oil paints to complete their artwork, when some commenters pointed out that they thought the shared image was an in-game screenshot. Given just how accurate-looking the fan art was, other RDR2 fans became nostalgic and talked about their experiences while in Valentine. As the town was introduced during the game's beginning, none of the heavier storylines and Red Dead Redemption 2 plot twists have been introduced, making it feel like a more innocent part of the entire video game.
Mighty6Tighty6Whitey has already shared some of their other Red Dead Redemption 2 fan art on the Reddit platform, with most of their pieces also made traditionally. In their profile, they mentioned accepting commissioned work, so fellow fans can definitely have their favorite game scenes recreated by the artist.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
