A dedicated Red Dead Redemption 2 fan online has shared an amazing fan-made trailer for the game, which is inspired by the recent Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer. The original Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer was a lot gloomier than this, and seeing the change in tone is certainly interesting.
Over the years, Red Dead Redemption 2 has established a dedicated community that loves to pay homage to the game in any way possible. As a result, there have been a ton of amazing fan creations over the years, and they never get old. Just recently, one fan made an animation that shows how a LEGO Red Dead Redemption game could look, but it's just one of many that have been posted online since the game's initial release back in 2018. With the Red Dead Redemption 2 community sticking around, there's no doubt that the best of the bunch may still be to come.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Clip Shows That Even NPC Despawns Can Look Cool
A Red Dead Redemption 2 player perfectly captures a moment where a known NPC despawns after a wagon casually rolls by in the game.
The perfectly-cut trailer was posted by SheriffFreeman, which shows off many of the best story moments from Red Dead Redemption 2. Just like the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, the action plays out to the tune of Love Is A Long Road by Tom Petty, which really recontextualizes a lot of the story beats in Red Dead Redemption 2. Lucia's introduction in the GTA 6 trailer is replaced by an introduction of Arthur by Edgar Ross and Andrew Milton, the two antagonists of the game. It doesn't shy away from some of the goofier aspects of the game, including the bar dance with Arthur and Lenny. All in all, it's just a good time.
Gamers in the thread heaped praise on the creation, with one user claiming that Rockstar should even hire SheriffFreeman. They certainly seem to have an instinct for timing and editing, with the trailer ending on a humorous "Red Dead Redemption 2 - already came in 2018." There is no doubt even more hidden within the trailer, just as there is with the GTA 6 trailer, which players have been scouring of late to find every last detail. As a matter of fact, there even appears to be a Red Dead Online Easter egg hidden within the GTA 6 trailer.
With Grand Theft Auto 6 finally confirming a 2025 release date, a potential Red Dead Redemption sequel feels some time away at the moment. Rockstar has shown it has no problems taking its time between releases, with over a decade between mainline GTA games. With this in mind, on top of modern development cycles, it could realistically be the 2030s before Red Dead Redemption 3 hits shelves. Right now though, it's all speculation, with nothing set in stone for a release schedule going forward.

America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed. After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him. From the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age.
