In 2018, Rockstar Games launched Red Dead Redemption 2 to widespread critical acclaim, with the open world western becoming one of the highest-rated games of its entire generation. Red Dead Redemption 2's critical success translated to massive sales, with the game breaking records and quickly becoming one of the best-selling games ever. Considering the sheer number of copies Red Dead Redemption 2 sold, it's no surprise that the game has even been played by nontraditional gamers. However, one such nontraditional gamer has taken their love of Red Dead Redemption 2 to the extreme.

Considering how many times ApeWatcher's dad has completed Red Dead Redemption 2, one would think that he would have 100% completion. However, ApeWatcher claims that his dad was unable to get 100% completion in Red Dead Redemption 2 due to frustration with some of the game's gambling challenges.

One would also think that ApeWatcher's dad may want to try the Red Dead Online multiplayer mode, but apparently he's only concerned with playing Red Dead Redemption 2's story. Whereas Red Dead Redemption 2's story mode earned near-universal acclaim from critics, the same can't be said for the multiplayer mode. While it has its fans, it has also been criticized for a variety of reasons, including a lack of new content when compared to GTA Online, as well as having some aggressive microtransactions.

In the comments, the conversation turned to Rockstar potentially doing a Red Dead Redemption remaster so ApeWatcher's dad can see what happens next in the story. The original Red Dead Redemption is playable on Xbox One thanks to the backward compatibility program, but it's not available on PS4 without a PlayStation Now subscription. ApeWatcher's dad owns a PlayStation 4, but PlayStation Now may not necessarily be ideal, depending on their Internet situation. Unfortunately, Rockstar has not made any indication that it plans on doing a Red Dead Redemption remake or remaster, so ApeWatcher's dad may not to get to see what happens next for quite some time.

The general consensus is that Rockstar's next game is Grand Theft Auto 6, but maybe if ApeWatcher's dad and RDR fans are lucky, Rockstar could release a Red Dead Redemption remaster to fill the gap in the meantime.
