Ever since the launch of the Red Dead Online beta at the end of last year, players have continually encountered issues with the Red Dead Online Stranger Missions not working. This has materialized in several ways, including players not being able to interact with Strangers at all, and while some may have thought that the big Red Dead Online update that arrived last week would solve the problem, that does not appear to be the case.

With respect to a fix for the Red Dead Online Stranger Missions glitch, there does not seem to be a catch-all remedy at this time. There is the suggestion that signing into another lobby has the potential to resolve the problem, but there are players that claim that they have not been able to speak with Strangers for days in a row, which seemingly rules this method out as a guaranteed fix.

Additionally, some indicate that returning to a non-functioning Stranger at a later time, such as after a death, may allow a player to start a new mission in Red Dead Online. However, this still does not seem like a consistent solution for those that are finding that their Red Dead Online Free Roam Missions are not working for extended periods.

Ultimately, affected players may simply need to wait for Rockstar to intervene and fix the broken Red Dead Online Stranger Mission. Unfortunately, the developer has seemingly never commented on the issue, and thus a schedule for the fix is not currently available.

This may come as unfortunate news to those that are encountering these problems, especially considering that Rockstar has just added a new Red Dead Online Stranger Mission featuring Sadie Adler that they may wish to experience. That said, now that the game is officially out of its beta phase, the company may be more expedient in remedying the fact that Red Dead Online Stranger Missions are still broken.
