Yesterday, Red Dead Online announced it would be releasing a brand new update titled Blood Money, confirming the free add-on would hit PC and consoles on July 13. Alongside the reveal, it teased details about the DLC would come in a subsequent post on Rockstar Wire, and earlier today, that post officially hit the website.
Offering two new trailers and plenty of fresh details, the post confirms that Blood Money will bring additional missions and other extras, focusing heavily on a minor character from Red Dead Redemption 2's main campaign called Guido Martelli. Martelli is the right-hand man to Angelo Bronte, the infamous mob boss that Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang encounter during their stay in Saint Denis.
Players will be tasked with collecting an illegal currency known as Capitale for the criminal, which can be found through two different sources. The first is discovered while exploring the open world, with Rockstar confirming that players will be able to rob homesteads and camps while in free roam. However, those wanting a more direct source of Capitale will be able to complete all-new missions called Crimes, which will see them commit robberies, kidnappings, extortions, and other heinous acts to get their hands on more of Martelli's currency. The latter can be completed alone or alongside a posse.
Once players have gathered enough Capitale, Martelli will offer them more significant missions known as Opportunities. These will require them to complete multiple objectives in an effort to weaken and bring down a Lemoyne senator who's disrupting Bronte's activities. The first of three Opportunities will be available when Blood Money launches on July 13, with Rockstar stating the others will "unveil themselves in time."
Another major addition in Blood Money is The Quick Draw Club, which will provide four passes complete with new outfits, weapon skins, and other bonuses. Players will be able to buy each pass for 25 gold bars, which they'll be able to earn back by completing each of the pass' 25 ranks. The first pass will be available from July 13 to August 9, allowing players to unlock Dutch Van der Linde's outfit, the Rushword Shirt, the Whitchurch Cattleman Revolver Variant, the Fircroft Hat, and more.
Rockstar has also announced that the Outlaw Pass' Skill and Satchel Pamphlets will now be on sale at the Fence, while the clothing items from Outlaw Pass 2 and 3 will be made available for those who missed them, with the packs including Arthur Morgan's Haraway outfit, John Marston's Clelland outfit, and Bill Williamson's Dedham outfit. Finally, Blood Money will officially bring Nvidia DLSS support to Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC following Rockstar's confirmation of the feature earlier this year.
Red Dead Online is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
