Reacher season 3 will premiere on Prime Video on February 20, 2025, with its first three action-packed episodes. Fans are excited to see Alan Ritchson back as the eponymous ex-military investigator, and he'll be joined by Maria Sten as his trusted ally, Frances Neagley. After the third season of Reacher ends, Neagley's story will be expanded into a spin-off series, but fans are hoping she'll stick around in the parent series moving forward.
Reacher has already been renewed for a fourth season, but it hasn't been confirmed if Frances Neagley will make an appearance. She has been an important part of the series thus far, and while her spin-off will be a great way to expand the character, it should not be at the expense of her role alongside Jack Reacher.
Reacher Season 3's Release Date Looks Like It Was Planned To Kill Bosch: Legacy
Bosch: Legacy's final season will be released smack bang in the middle of Reacher's third season, and Amazon are probably doing this to kill the show.

Amazon announced it would be moving forward with a spin-off focused on Frances Neagley back in September 2024. The ex-member of the 110th Special Investigators is the only character aside from Jack Reacher to feature in the first two seasons, and she'll return in Reacher season 3 as well. This connective tissue is very important to the main show, and Neagley needs to continue this important role in Reacher, in addition to her main role in the spin-off show. Reacher relies on Neagley for her genius brain and fighting skills, and their chemistry is very strong, so her importance should not be under-estimated.
Reacher has been largely faithful to Lee Child's book series, but the exception has been Frances Neagley's character, but that's a good thing. She didn't feature in The Killing Floor, which formed the basis of Reacher season 1, and Persuader, which the upcoming season is based on, also doesn't feature her character, but she will make an appearance regardless. Her role in the Bad Luck And Trouble book, which provides the basis of Reacher season 2, is pivotal. It really was her breakout moment, featuring in every episode, and showcasing some impressive action skills, and this was clearly enough to persuade Amazon to give Neagley her own series. However, even if Neagley doesn't feature in the book that Reacher season 4 is based on, the creative team should find a way to involve her in the story. Crossovers could be a huge part of the Reacher franchise moving forward, and this seems to be what Amazon are planning, with Alan Ritchson set to make guest appearances in Neagley's debut season.

Each season of Reacher is based on a different book in Lee Child's superb book series. However, the Neagley spin-off isn't based on any of the source material, and will be a brand-new story. The synopsis reads:
When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell-bent on justice. Using everything she's learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.
Neagley will have the freedom to expand in any direction it wants to, without the need to be based on any source material, and this can only be a good thing. It's great to have a series of books to lead the way for a television show, but this spin-off can work without it, and it'll complement the Reacher series. However, fans still want Neagley in both shows, and hopefully this will happen.
