The Resident Evil 4 remake is full of puzzles and secrets, and for players looking to get their hands on everything, there will be plenty of legwork and creative thinking involved. Of course, there are also straightforward conundrums that can be solved with the right key, but the Stone Pedestal puzzle in the southwest corner of the lake can be a challenge for those not looking in the right spots.
For players needing some guidance with getting all of the Hexagon Pieces i n Resident Evil 4 and solving the puzzle, this guide will be the best companion to getting the treasure that lies within this structure.
How to Find All Hexagon Pieces in Resident Evil 4 Remake
It will all go down in Chapter 3 and 4, where Leon finally gets to explore around the lake after getting fuel for the boat. Before coming face to face with the Stone Pedestal, players are likely to obtain Hexagon Piece A first near the Merchant after the Quarry area. It can be found in a chest just opposite the purveyor of fine wares.
After further progress, Leon will require fuel to enable him to use the boat around the lake, which will then bring players to the Fish Farm area. Defeat the enemies that appear in the area, including a Hammer Brute, and towards the north side, walk underneath the platform to find a chest containing Hexagon Piece B.
The final piece of the puzzle, Hexagon Piece C, will be found in the Small Cave Shrine area, which players will visit while trying to collect the Blasphemer's Head key item. The area is found in the northeast corner of the lake, with the chest holding Hexagon Piece C just to the right of the statue with the Blasphemer's Head.
Now with all the key pieces in possession, it is time to head back to the Stone Pedestal and insert them into the slots. However, that doesn't mean the task is done, as there is still a puzzle element to figure out. The aim is to form an image of the Del Lago creature attacking a hapless person in the lake. It can be a very complicated process if players try to rotate randomly to get the answer, so to avoid that, follow the following steps:
- On Assisted/Standard difficulty, simply spin the left and top sides just once.
- On Hardcore/Professional difficulty, spin the left side twice and then the top side once.
Once the image is completed, the Stone Pedestal will open up, rewarding players for their hard work with the Depraved Idol. This treasure can then be sold to the Merchant to fund the next wave of weapon upgrades to make Leon's life a little easier.
