While Leon S. Kennedy is often kept busy enough in the Resident Evil 4 remake, there is always time for some much-needed downtime doing other fun stuff. That includes jumping into the Merchant's Shooting Ranges, where players can test their skills with various weapons in exchange for Tokens.
Before getting too excited about having access to unlimited ammo and weapons that may not be in the inventory yet, learning how to get good scores will go a long way in making the Shooting Range a much more entertaining distraction. This guide will lead players to all the Shooting Range locations in Resident Evil 4 as well as tips on how to get a high score.
All Shooting Range Locations in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In total, there are five Shooting Ranges that can be found in Resident Evil 4, and they are all located conveniently next to a Merchant. Missing any of the ranges does not cause an issue, as the next one will always have the full set of challenges unlocked up till that point, with only the final shooting range not adding new challenges. Tokens obtained can then be exchanged for Charms to attach to Leon's attache case for bonuses.
The locations are always quite obvious and unmissable. Here's where players can engage in some fun shooting:
- Chapter 3 - Right after the Quarry, and found near the Lake. Adds Courses 1A, 1B, 1C.
- Chapter 9 - Near the start of the chapter after the maze, just off the Grand Hall. Adds Courses 2A, 2B, 2C.
- Chapter 11 - Immediately after the chapter starts, next to the merchant nearby in The Mines. Adds Courses 3A, 3B, 3C.
- Chapter 14 - After boosting Ashley to open the door, head left to find the Merchant in the Facility. Adds Courses 4A, 4B, 4C.
- Chapter 15 - Just before the Temple, the final Merchant of the Chapter after the room with the body bags.

Tips for Getting High Scores in Resident Evil 4 Remake Shooting Ranges
The full set of Shooting Range challenges comes up to 12 different ones, each utilizing various weapons and having different bonus requirements. In general, remember these tips to aid the quest to post the highest scores.
- Reloading should ideally only be done twice, once when prompted by the game, and another before the start of the bonus round. For challenges that utilize two weapons, ensure both are reloaded, so the following section will be easier to handle.
- It is not enough to just eliminate the targets; there will be skull targets to chase as well. Not all of them will be obvious, with some hidden behind barrels or on targets that spin. Make sure to observe before shooting a target to avoid missing out on a skull target.
- Targets may appear on a timed basis, or when a wave is completed. Learning what leads to the new wave can help reduce the time needed, resulting in more bonus points added at the end.
- Being accurate saves time and rounds; weapons like SMGs and pistols can be made more accurate by being patient when aiming. Let the crosshair shrink before taking the shot.
- Movement helps too, so do not just stick to the middle of the range. Look for more advantageous positions to make the most of the capabilities of the weapons.
- Sometimes, taking a penalty by shooting the sailors can provide easier aim for certain targets, so don't be afraid of taking the shot.
- Don't try to do everything at once. When going for all skull targets, it can be more efficient to skip certain enemies, as long as the bonus requirement is met. Likewise, going for a good score means quantity can sometimes be better than quality.
It is always good to take a few trial runs of a course before trying to attempt a high score or to hit all skull targets. Knowing what to expect, as well as the best angle and weapons to use at any given time are much more important in the Shooting Ranges. From there, it becomes more of practice and refining the aim, so the scores are high and further enhanced by time bonuses.
