One of the rarest versions of the GameCube was recently found 23 years after it was originally made, being perhaps the most exclusive version of the console ever. With the success of the Metroid Prime remaster, it’s not hard to see why people are fondly remembering the GameCube, and this may be one of the biggest finds about its early history so far.The GameCube is fondly remembered today by many fans who played it back in the day. Despite disappointing sales and even some mixed reviews after its release in 2001, the GameCube had a library of several high quality exclusive games, including Metroid Prime, Animal Crossing, Eternal Darkness, Super Mario Sunshine, and others. Also, the GameCube had one of the best Nintendo controllers ever. It was simple, lean, and comfortable. Recently, Console Variations was able to acquire and show off one of the rarest GameCube consoles ever made: the SpaceWorld version. This version was specifically made to be shown at the SpaceWorld 2000 event, which was the first time that the GC was shown to the general public. The design was pretty similar to the official one, at least externally, but it’s not really operational due to not being the final version yet. These models were only built for Nintendo to present the new design.
