This version was specifically made to be shown at the SpaceWorld 2000 event, which was the first time that the GC was shown to the general public. These models were only built for Nintendo to present the new design.

According to its website, only five versions of this device were ever manufactured, one in each color: Indigo, Black, Gold, Silver, and Pink. This would put it among the rarest consoles ever released, even if the model does not actually work. If sold, this console would probably fetch a very high price online, as rare GameCube games are currently being sold for absurd prices at the moment, and this piece is especially unique.
