Rainbow Six Siege has announced a showcase to fully reveal Rainbow Six Siege X on March 13 at 10 AM PT in Atlanta, Georgia. The game's official Twitter account shared a teaser with a selection of gameplay snippets without further context, ending the video by teasing a “new era” for the shooter. The video was revealed during the final day of the Six Invitational, Rainbow Six Siege's main esports tournament. The main competitive event for the tactical shooter—the day of the finals—is traditionally reserved for announcements relevant to the game.

The Rainbow Six Siege community reacted positively to the showcase announcement, with many analyzing the teaser to find any information about the upcoming game. What most caught players' attention was one of the operators running on the wall while abseiling. Another detail was the presence of a helicopter for abseiling, leading fans to fondly recall the popular Rainbow Six Siege: Vegas and its sequel. Eagle-eyed players noticed chains of explosions, lighting that can be destroyed to darken the map, and Kapkan, one of the defense operators, appearing on the attacking team, hinting at the possibility of new modes.
